Gilmour became the frontman really for Pink Floyd during their golden years with his lead vocals on most of their greatest songs and fantastic guitar playing and stage presence. This left Roger kind of seething I think and he's been busily trying to first rectify that from about 1975 on until recent times when he simply wants to erase David entirely.

Tuning it down naturally makes it darker, but the truth is that he simply can no longer sing it in the normal key. He didn’t sing it on the album, but he frequently performed it live and this is the first time he lowered the key.

Porque o Roger é um eterno adolescente de 16 anos que é revoltado com tudo e com todos e tem um ego do tamanho do mundo. É claro q o David Gilmour não é um pobre coitado (ele msm já admitiu isso), mas o Roger claramente não quer paz. Se algum dia acontecer uma reconciliação, algo q eu julgo quase improvável, ela muito provavelmente virá por intermédio do Mason, já que ele é bastante amigo do Gilmour e tem uma relação saudável com o Waters (convidou o Waters para um show de sua banda e constantemente é assunto de postagens positivas do baixista). Gosto muito do Roger, fui ao show dele q aconteceu aqui (e foi um dos melhores dias da minha vida), mas devemos ser justos. (Observação: não me referi em momento algum ao posicionamento político do Roger. Concordo 100% com ele em alguns tópicos, discordo 100% dele em outros, mas aqui estou me referindo ao conflito entre ele e o David)

forse è stato David a non rilasciare l'autorizzazione ad utilizzare la sua immagine nei converti di Roger. Comunque, è cosa risaputa che Roger vanta i diritti di autore di tutte le canzoni che ha composto quando faceva parte dei Pink Floyd e non deve pagare alcun diritto d'autore ai Pink Floyd quando le propone nei suoi show. Forse per le immagini la cosa è diversa.

I was sitting in the 2nd ring of the venue, diagonally towards the direction of the stage. Basically in the upper left or right corner it depends on which side you look at the stage

Man, you can see how idiotic that guy is when he cuts every appearance of Gilmour in these pictures he's sliding in those screens. Without Gilmour and Wright, Waters would be one of these guys you can find in every square talking about politics to himself cuz no one else can stand him.

Asi efectivamente concuerdo en un 1000 % contigo... Después de más de tres décadas no a sacado nada que se le perezca a lo que realizó junto con los otros 3 genios qué juntos son y serán pink floyd...... Roger no es pink floyd el colaboró y mucho con letras pero el solo a demostrado que no es lo mismo

No pone a Gilmour porque están peleados por los derechos de varias canciones, Gilmour se toma la ligeresa de sacar REMIX cada año con los éxitos de Roger, aparte que la mujer de Gilmour le dijo de todo a Roger, dudo que Roger tenga ganas de poner al careta de Gilmour. Aparte con Richard se amistaron mucho antes de su fallecimiento e incluso lo invitó a tocar en su banda solista, el cual no pudo ser por la enfermedad que tenía.

Have a Cigar trata del business del mundo de la producción musical, de la manipulación de las productora hacia los jóvenes artistas. Las imágenes muestran unos jóvenes y quizás "ingenuos" Pink Floyd vistos con la mirada de unos años después (1975) cuando habían alcanzado el éxito y Waters escribió la canción. Ahora, no es que todo lo que no se entiende tiene que ser "una locura". Si hay alguien que no quedo pegado a la historia del grupo es precisamente Waters, el único que se fue y que dejo claro que esa temporada se había acabado, pero es un tour de despedida y creo que fue un bonito regalo por quien puede entenderlo.

Sara stato il diamante pazzo, ma a mio avviso sono diventati ciò che sono dopo l'uscita di Syd e il loro suono unico e inconfondibile, non è quello di The piper at the gates of dawn, ma saucerful of secrets/meddle/the dark side ecc.

I don't agree with all of Waters views to say the least. But I think David is a coward by making his wife be his personal pitbull against Roger. It's like Neil Youngs wife pulling the strings from behind. Old men and their younger wife-syndrom. If David has something to say, he can do it himself. Also, he can't see that he also confirms what Roger said in regards to the interview Roger gave earlier this year about Rick and David didn't have anything to say in the band regarding concepts and lyrics etc. Because he always portray himself like he is the nice guy and Roger is always the bad guy. He dosen't say anything (although he obviously holds a huge grudge against Roger) and let's his wife do the talking. It's a bit weak. He is also very PC politically. Going along with the popular opinion of the masses.

with all the respect, for R. (that I adore) I can only imagine what a pain in the a** it is for the band to play 2 steps down.. maybe if you cant sing it anymore, it's better to have someone as guest to sing it, or remove it from the setlist, or maybe play with the original vocal on playback.. Personally I didn't like it

Entrato nel 67 ha contribuito pesantemente al sound che tutti conoscono, inclusi gli assoli entrati nella storia...Roger stesso in una intervista recente, ha evidenziato il lavoro di chitarra fatto da Gilmour, calcolando inoltre che in diversi pezzi abbia pure suonato il basso al posto di Roger...considerandolo un intruso è una bestemmia 😅

si rispettano e si "lodano" a vicenda, non credo che David possa mai essere stato considerato un "intruso", ora diventato leader, della band. Il fatto che non ci siano immagni di David nello show di Waters potrebbe essere solo una questione di diritti d'immagine, non certo un problema di amicizia tra loro. Ad un certo punto Waters ha deciso di percorrere una strada diversa (da solista) rispetto a quella iniziata con i Pink Floyd, c'è stata l'iniziale "scaramuccia" sull'utilizzo del nome della band, ma nulla di che. Una volta stabilito che il nome della band, PINK FLOYD, poteva continuare ad essere utilizzato anche senza la presenza di Waters ognuno ha percorso la propria "strada". I Pink Floyd (con David) si sono "adattati" alle richieste "commerciali", Waters da solista, ed ora con questo show, ha continuato a comporre le sue canzoni di denuncia, mantenendo in buona sostanza il percorso musicale e di testi che aveva iniziato a comporre e cantare fondando i Pink Floyd.

Sí que crearon una leyenda .....PINK FLOYD...¡¡¡

He sounds pretty good considering neither him nor Gilmore were the original vocalists on this tune. As far as not showing DG in his slides, don't forget DG put the band back together without RW and really created a pathetic version of PF. So, how can u blame RW for his disdain. DG had his wife writing lyrics for the band. Absolutely pathetic!!
