You are not the only one who cries. It is played superbly, but I regret they repeat the 1st part only and stop at the "Schaue hier, Herz and Auge weinen bitterlich um Dir." Listen to the vocal version, too (Aafje Heynis is a good choice). She was a pure alto and that is most proper. I mayself have sung this but I'm not a professional.

If they had such a gift they would have performed the work as Bach intended. If they don't have the artistry to understand, at least they should have refrained out of respect and reverence.

I appreciated Stjepan and his quietness too. I also appreciate his cello and his deeper sounds from it. To me and I’m sorry, the violinist was just screechy. !!! 🤷‍♀️. So sorry.

@jepan hauser I’m based in Boston, and went to one of your concerts when you were touring in the US. Loved it!

I love how Stjepan treats those dueting with him. He is a most gracious star and rather puts the other(s) in a star position taking back stage himself. He also reassures them with his pleasing glances in their direction. LOVE!

Überirdisch schöne Musik von JSB - wunderschön und aussergewöhnlich interpretiert in einer „schwer romantischen“ Fassung von zwei grossartigen Musikern. So etwas kann man selbst heute SO ERLESEN nur ganz selten erleben - Danke dafür!! Ich könnte heulen .......
