I transcripted lyrics above just by listening. Translation included. Hope You everyone will enjoy it. Feel free to provide better transcript/translation. What an amazing album. But that song, in particular is just mindblowing. Gives me a vibe of April Rain - One is glad to be of service, but much, much darker.

It's totally in the mood of Piotrek song of Ścianka: Piotrek mówi: "O tej porze roku wieje wiatr i ulice są wymiecione do czysta. Chropowatości chodnika oczyszczone z piasku do ostatniego ziarenka. Kiedy stawiasz stopę, przez podeszwę czujesz zagłębienia w betonie. Tak jakbyś przyłożył do niego policzek. Tego oczywiście nie robię, bo z okien widać całą ulicę. Szperacze liżą ziemię w dzień i w nocy. Trzeba iść spokojnie." Piotrek mówi: „Tutaj nie masz czego szukać, jeżeli sam wcześniej nie znalazłeś. Ulica nawet nie jest śliska, trudno się przewrócić. Deathdreamer might be one of the best songs i've ever heard!

I dont know how this happens but Darkside has always surrounded himself with great musicians. Every project he has ever taken part is unique in its own way and has completely different drumming style. Fantastic album.

I mean, he's one of the best drummers on Earth... He's not exactly grabbing the dude stumbling through "Smoke On the Water" at Guitar Center and going "BRUHHHH LETS START A BAND!"

Is it just me, or does anyone else can't stop listening to this album? I've been listening to it for 2 months, at least once a day. An inexplicably good album, with an incredible atmosphere.

Yeah same here, heard this album so many times and as you say, it captures something truly original and relatable for all the wrong reasons, which lure us back for more, playing on repeat... nothing else comparing to this masterpiece.

It's weird, the first time I heard it the second half of the album just seemed to drift off somewhere. But now it's got me mesmerised. Great album for sure.

Hollow mnie rozbił na szklane dzwoneczki, Gardermoen jest jak nocne spacery mglistymi zaułkami miasta, a Car Kruków to czysta magia oniryczna. Niesamowita płyta!

I now sit and listen to this masterpiece all day, and surely more days like this to come. I thank the goodwill of the universe that I've checked metal-archives again this grey morning…

Darkside wymiatacz. Uwielbiam jego perkusję. Nie mogę się doczekać nowego albumu Mgły. Projekt: Hauntologist - dla mnie bomba. Klimatyczna płyta. Oby tak dalej. Jak ja się cieszę, że Polacy potrafią robić tak klimatyczną muzykę. Niesamowite. Oczywiście album już zamówiony w przedsprzedaży.

One of the best albums I've heard in a while

When the last year was ending, I was wondering: how long will I have to wait for an album that will resonate with me? For an album that you listen to - and feel captivated, mind drifting away somewhere. A couple of weeks into 2024 - here I am.

Post black metal in the style of mgla, I like it a lot! And that Darkside fellow is one hell of a drummer.

What an amazing way to start the year.. this will stay on repeat

I like how part of Hauntologist's band logo has that Mgła font there, and it is very creative they did that. The music just brings a familiarity of Mgła's musical eeriness and then brings it into a new direction which I really like. Just got the album yesterday, and I am really going to enjoy this as the AOTY 2024. I know Mgła will be releasing their new albums this year which I'm looking forward to.

Jak zwykle ciary! Jest to "coś". I fenomen perkusisty, ktorego mozna poznac po tym jak gra. Niewielu bylo takich bębniarzy w historii muzyki - czapki z głów.

Świetna płyta, lubię styl Mgły i się ucieszyłem, że znalazłem coś podobnego, dopiero jak doczytałem o projekcie wszystko się wyjaśniło. Rewelacyjnie oddany klimat zimowej melancholii i tego czegoś, tlącego się tuż pod skórą.

And I often have a dream of this kind: In my dream, I wake up because of ravens that wait at that tree for me to come, and they order me to look for the tzar of ravens because he wants to see me. So I dress up and walk out to my street. I walk like this for some time, and, suddenly, I see some huge, massive spotlight... only it emits darkness instead of light. I head towards it, and, suddenly, I’m in the woods And so I walk among the trees, and, all at once, I see the tzar of ravens. He strolls right there... slowly, holding his hands on his back. He has a human-like body, slightly hunched, and he wears a raven mask on his face. I know he wanted to see me but I am too scared to leave my cover, thus I only stare at him walking away. And so I stand there like an idiot not knowing what to do, and after a moment I can hear some moaning. I realize that I am surrounded by ghosts wailing of sorrow, I don’t know, of pain? Children, maybe? So I run away from that place, I run through the woods until I finally reach a huge beautiful glade in the middle of which stands a palace. Yet, at the line between the forest and that glade, the same ravens that ordered me to look for the tzar sit on the corpse of a man. I want to go to the castle but they tell me that in order to enter I need to die first. So I tell them it is not the time yet but they insist. And I repeat over and over again "It is not the time yet... It is not the time..."

Such a welcome addition to the mgła/kriegs catalogue, which is already near-perfect. I get the impression they are really testing the sonic waters with this one and enjoying the process, can't wait to hear more. I also appreciate the fact that the instrumentation is a bit more understated while still being technically impeccable, unlike on kriegs which seems really showy by comparison, to the point of being distracting. Hauntologist gets the balance just right.

Raptem kilka razy posłuchane i już mam 8 ulubionych kawałków na tej płycie. Car Kruków natomiast robi ciary... zwłaszcza w lesie... zwłaszcza gdy jest ciemno... niesamowity klimat

Cały dzień dzisiaj słucham i czytam, a w książce taki tekst: "Lubię słuchać muzyki tylko takiej jak pańska, takiej nieuwarunkowanej, przy której się czuje, że jakiś człowiek dobija się zarówno do nieba i do piekła. Bardzo lubię muzykę, myślę, że chyba dlatego, że tak mało jest mo😂ralna. Wszystko inne jest moralne, a ja szukam czegoś co by takie nie było. Bo w skutek tych spraw moralnych zawsze tylko cierpiałem. Nie umiem się odpowiednio wysławiać. Wie pan, że musi istnieć Bóg, będący jednocześnie bogiem i szatanem? Podobno taki istnieje, słyszałem o tym".

Piekna nagrywka tych wspanialych twörcöw. Jest blisko do outarza smierci ale tez by obejsc sie bez konsekwencji wiary. Bo jest pieknosciä uzycia instrumentu. Pozdrawiam i polecam tä plyte dla kazdego cos nowego. 🎉

Tak, śliczny jest ten album, taki fajny i wspaniale cudowny, przepięknie wartościowo niesamowity ;) Jedź na front, tam masz outasz śmierci na każdym metrze. Jest tam tak pięknie i uroczo, że może nawet z kości wybudujesz sobie domek, a ze skóry trupów daszek można zrobić. Coś pięknego. Takie to cudowne. ❤❤ Polecają nawet zgniłe ciało w tekstach - doskonałe do zalepiania dziur w ścianach. Hmmm, jak pięknie.

So glad this album found me here, a rare treasure I'm not letting go of. Flawless armospheres which perfectly build then release into a deeply honest and raw catharis i havent heard in years, vaguely reminesant of Katatonia's 'brave muder day' and Godspeedyou!blackemperor through a black metal lense, with phenomenal drumming and an equally gifted vocalist...so what, is this some sort of supergroup or something? Thankyou so much for this, absolutely pefect, an instant classic !

Ciągle wracam do tych numerów. Zajebista muza. Brzmienie gitar perfekt, bas rozpierdala, wokal mistrzosto świata. Perkusja to osobny temat dla przybyszów z innej planety. Zajebiste kawałki, zajebiste wszystko.

i always considered Mgla something like that. An urban kinda sound, different from most black metal bands that compose around medieval sounding intervals.

The track Hollow is a beauty 🖤🎶

Ozymandian was a misleading single but I'm not complaining at all, this is wonderful stuff. I'm glad it didn't turn out to be a Mgla clone. Especially loving the post-punk influences so far.

This is so good! Definitely on my Winter playlist.

Built their own label and now have around 3 bands w/each of their own merits. Well done lads

It's a nifty strategy. If they released something like this as Mgła, fans would complain about the change in direction. If they released three times as many albums in the style of Mgła, fans would get burned out.

@@timewave02012 its also smart on a business standpoint. They keep all the profit from publishing and royalties as well since there's no label cutting in. Why expect a label to push your brand when you're already making a killing on your own made hype.

Great music. Solidifies my conviction that anything No Solace labelled has its smoothly articulate way around dynamics. Also the lyrics - moving, definitely worth the read on their own, constitutes poetry.

Always something incredibly good from these guys. I can say this year started off well...

Not what I espected as a whole after listening Ozymandian a hundred times BUT it's such a great record. I feel tendencies from out of what black metal offers usually and I gotta say that I love it. Congrats guys, it's great! EDIT: It's become one of my favourite albums ever. It's awesome.

Hollow remembers me a lot of his second album Hadal. Listening to Hauntologist feels like beeing in a Cave which is filled with Fog. Pure Bliss.

Świetny album. Można "odpłynąć " w inny wymiar i nic a nic nie czuć wstydu ...Czekam na vinyl. No i koncert...

Od stycznia ta plyta jest ze mną od 4 numeru bo wówczas sie robi płytą wyjątkową, minimum 3 czasem 5 razy w tygodniu...świetnie wymyślone, swietny filozoficzny zakręt, genialne melodie, darkside kosmita, chcę takich wrażeń po polsku...polski black wylatuje mi z lodówki, ale o takiego chcę sie potykac ...mam nadzieję że to początek drogi...

Everything these guys put out is pure gold.
