Haunting CCTV shows BBC star Dr Michael Mosley's final movements before vanishing on Greek island
MYSTERY surrounding TV doctor Michael Mosley's whereabouts has deepened after CCTV showed him strolling through a Greek village.
The British dad-of-four was previously feared to have "fallen from a height" as he walked a rocky path from a beach to the village.
Still pictures taken from CCTV video showed the TV doctor dressed in a blue shirt and a cap, resting an umbrella on his shoulder.
The BBC star is understood to have disappeared on Wednesday after he left St Nicholas Beach on the Greek island of Symi to walk back to the village of Pedi, where he was staying with his wife and two pals.
Cops feared he may have "fallen from a height" while walking along a rocky path that would have taken him from the beach back to Pedi.

This reminds me about our neighbour year 2000,he left the house at around 7am to go buy bread and milk to a nearby store,a walking distance of about 300 metres never to be seen or heard again to date!!. He left wife and two children who are grown up now.( sorry for my poor English, its my 3rd language).

Why are they wasting their time with the path? He was seen on camera, and by a witness in the village, waiting for the bus. Check the bus cameras if they have them, ask the drivers of the buses around that time.

My favourite TV Dr and broadcaster. He’s so amenable and gentle. I hope he’s found safe and well. The 3rd day now, is very worrying and I find odd he left his phone behind unless he’d just forgotten it. Not to be seen for so long on a very small island is indeed, a puzzle!. The searing heat is a concern. I’m sure he would carry water. Fingers crossed 🤞for Michael and his family.

I climbed a mountain on Crete which looked safe from a distance but ended up being one of the most dangerous terrains you can imagine.

I dont watch or read the MSM, so I have no idea who this man is. I only know one thing. If my husband said he was feeling unwell, especially if we were on holiday in a remote area, I wouldn't have let him return to the village we were staying at alone. I would have gone back with him to ensure his safety, nurse him, and, if necessary, get him to hospital. She could just be a negligent wife, responsible only so far as that negligence is concerned, but it should be taken under consideration.
What is strange is the fact he left his phone and knew he was alone, it just doesn’t make sense to go out walking in a foreign location and alone without any way of being contacted - your priority should be if something happens you need to be able to be contacted or at least tracked. It’s a crazy move.

I mean, most people would like to have their phone on them, but 30 years ago NOBODY took a phone with them on a walk. It is possible to do that without the world ending. By all accounts, this was a 10 minute stroll along an easy path, it wasn't an expedition to the mountains.

It's been so long now. I'm properly worried. Can't imagine how his family must feel. I hope he is ok. My father was on holiday and popped out for a drink at the bar right beside the hotel while my mother had a n afternoon rest. It was mid afternoon. He vanished and turned up that night with no memory of who he was. Someone had spiked his drink. His wallet was gone. He was missing for almost 8 hours. I hope Michael is alive. Dr Moseley has inspired me so much over the years to take action with my own health. He is such a gentle human being which shines through when he is on the TV. There are degrees. He could just have felt a little jaded due to the heat and thought he’d be fine. Besides, how many people in that scenario would ask to be helped back unless they’re clearly and noticeably unwell? He’s a doctor so I’m sure he would know better than most if he was suffering from something severe. Its not something you’d hide.

I hope he is ok. His ideas and break- throughs on diabetes and pre-diabetes reversal are invaluable.Currently trying to surmount my own high sugar crisis. Come back Dr Moseley.

Dehydration can happen extremely quickly and one is not aware. It happened me once in a hot country and my boyfriend noticed straight away that all of a sudden I was been very vague and not making much sense. It was my first time in such temperatures but not his. We just went indoors and drank bottles of water slowly for a couple hours.
They say the phone was found at home but he wasn't. Perhaps he had returned home and put his phone down there after wandering off somewhere else? Perhaps they should be checking nearer the home. Is there a basement there or somewhere he could have fallen nearby? I know it might sound stupid but sometimes, the most obvious places to look are in plain sight.

Foolish thing to do when abroad. If he’s taken a fall and broken a ankle and can’t move they would have found him already if he had it on him.

As a Medical Doctor who’s currently serving my country which is at war , This seems more like a “ Recovery Mission “ now, as opposed to a rescue operation. Without an adequate supply of water, extreme heat, very treacherous terrain etc , it’s virtually impossible to survive in this scenario. So strange that he left with no phone and even this massive search with drones and dogs hasn't find any clues.
Something very fishy about all of this. Happened to leave his phone on the beach with his wife and then they don't raise the alarm for 6 hours despite it being a 20 to 30 minutes walk from the beach to the town. Hope he is okay, if anything has happened then there is nothing nefarious but i have my doubts

Or he wants a break from everyone and everything? He is a doctor, after all and maybe he just needs some time for himself. He's human, maybe he just wanted to be alone and left his phone so he could be left in peace. Not everyone needs to bring their phone everywhere or want to. This just shows how addicted some of you people are to your phones. It's a little sad, tbh...

Yesterday a kid who was walking in the middle of a small countryside road almost walked into my car which he didn't see until the last second because he had his nose and eyes glued to his phone! (Luckily for him, I hadn't.) The other day, I saw a guy on his horse riding on the beach while on his freaking phone! Serioulsy? People say: "Don't leave your phone at home, it's irresponsible, you might need it in an emergency", while I'm convinced phones are in fact causing more accidents than they help people get out of tricky situations!

@@sunnyduscle why did the wife say he forgot it at the beach initially then ? Not surprising it suddenly turned up at home when she got back. Considering she said he left the beach saying he didn't feel well not sure I would wait 6 hours to check he was okay. Genuinely hope I wrong, and chances are whatever has happened we will never truly know. I like him from what I saw on TV and most of the time he spoke a lot of sense. Just hope whatever has happened he hasn't suffered.
I find it strange how thousands of people go missing every year, but only certain cases are made into a big deal. We only see what they want us to see folks
Greek authorities have stated that "No stone will be left un-turned in the search"....I'd like to suggest that the search would be much more effective if they simply assumed that it was highly unlikely that he is under any of the many stones on the island.

I think sadly he has taken his own life. Just because they are doctors doesn’t mean they are not also fighting with their own inner demons it’s very tough on them and years of practice etc eventually it starts effecting their own mental wellbeing. Hope they find him soon.

A few days ago in UK I went to get some shopping South London. The air was filled with pollen or buds from trees, looked like sleet in size. Did not think it would affect me. Following day I suffered from hay fever and never did before. It continued and today feeling slightly better. Climate change... Hope he wiil be found well. Pray that is

Agree. Especially on such a hot day. Michael and his wife had only been on Symi for 24hrs. I know I wouldn't be leaving my spouse, who was without their mobile and uncontactable to walk back alone to a town 15-20 min away. Then expect them to wait for a minibus to take them back to our villa another 20-30 mins away. That's close to an hr of travel time in nearly 36C/95F degree heat, alone, in a country where you don't speak the language. And Claire Mosley's a GP. Things that make you go hmmm....

@@misst.e.a.187 I know used to drive a late friend of mine mad, as they appear on some reality programme and suddenly the words are attached, he used to feel sorry for the actors etc who would lose work through having someone who appeared on TV for five minutes taking jobs in pantomime mainly, and he worked hard getting to his status, depending on where you are or how old Danny La Rue my late friend of quite a few decades

Doesn’t make sense surly if your husband doesn’t feel well you would go with him back to the place you are staying …not let him go alone?? To make sure he’s safe?…Also without a phone again why leave him alone with no phone if he’s not well???…And even more so I’ve read he’s suffers from amnesia before if that’s true you would 100% not let him go at all!! None of this makes sense they say his wife is a doctor why didn’t his friend’s and wife go with him?

When he was not feeling well why did his wife not go home with him instead of letting him go home alone when he has just stated he feels unwell, bizarre.
Can you armchair detectives just stop it. It's all very well pondering the possibilities, but pointing fingers at the wife, because you've watched a few episodes of CSI is actually pretty creepy. Look in the mirror. That's a terrible person.

He was walking like he had somewhere to be! He was walking kind of fast. Makes me wonder did he leave to get away without a trace, which explains him leaving the phone. If not I hope he is found safely.
Is it possible that he planned this ? I’m wondering because it has happened before he left his phone behind wouldn’t you want your phone just in case something happen’s and you may be able to get cell service maybe telling them he wasn’t feeling well was the opportunity he needed you never really know how some people really feel even though they seem fine to you. @@dilekavan5796No it doesn't because doctors are human beings as well as us and they have every right and need to sometimes care for themselves before they can return to caring for others, it seems Dr Moseley has had issues with memories and his mental health over the years and the stresses and responsibility of being a public figure like him can enhance his struggles.
