Haunted Yishun HDB Home and Divine Intervention in Taiwan

Ezekiel returns three years on for his second confession. This time it's about his home in Yishun-Khatib area. He kept these memories throughout his entire life and is sharing it with us on Supernatural Confessions for the first time. Eze also just returned from Taiwan, narrowly missing being a victim in the calamity. He attributes his good fortune to divine intervention.

I remember being haunted in Bedok once. I was hearing the knocking sound coming from the room that was locked. Our rooms are next to each other so I know for sure it’s coming from inside. My roommates locked it before leaving to Myanmar.I was hearing the steady knocking sound for several minutes so I went to the living room to check. I couldn’t enter the room but I could hear through the door. I got annoyed and went back to my room, as I got back to my room, I started hearing footsteps in the living room. I locked my door and slept the whole afternoon. And yes, I was alone in the house for the whole day.

Try your own house if you dare - wait until 12 midnight or better still 3am, from inside your bedroom, crouch down or lie flat on the floor as close to the door bottom edge & look thro' the gap (between the door bottom edge & the floor). You may see something out there! My experience - I was staying in my sister's house in one of the 4 rooms upstairs. The room had no bed but a thin mattress on which I laid down quite near to the door. One night, I had a nature's call & turned my head towards the door before getting up. Cold breeze slipped thro' my door's gap & I saw fleeting shadows outside amplified by the moon light streaming thro' the open door of the opposite room. Out of curiosity, I braved myself to peep closely at what were outside in the common area. My horror - I saw many black legs running around as if they were playing silently in the common area. They were kids. (My sister had 4 kids but they slept early & would not dare to come out of their bedroom after midnight). That was 38 years ago.

I live in one of the high floor HDB unit in Khatib. The block that I’m living in is about 38 years old with this year. I stay with my mom in separate rooms. My mom had supernatural encounters in this house over the years eg blankets being pulled off while sleeping, talking noises in the living room in the middle of the night, shadows standing over her bed etc but I have not have any encounters so far till late last year. That night around 3 am, I woke up and couldn’t sleep due to the heat. I sat up in my bed to check emails on my phone. From where I sat, I could see the dining room area through my opened room door. As I started to feel sleepy, I saw part of the dining room was illuminated and I knew that my kitchen lights were switched on. Initially, I thought it was my mom going to the toilet (which is in the kitchen) but I didn’t remember seeing my mom walked past my room or heard her door clicked open. I thought I didn’t see or hear her coming out because I was too immersed in reading emails. Thinking that I shld wait for her to return to her room safely before I lay back on the bed to sleep, I waited for her to return to the room. About 3-4 minutes later, the kitchen lights were switched off and the dining room went dark again. I heard the sound of the light switch going off at the same time too But I didn’t see my mom walked past my room to return to her room. At this point, the hair at the back of my neck stood and my whole body went cold. Sensing that something weird was going on, I laid back on my bed and covered my head and body with my blanket. I chanted sutra till I went back to sleep. I checked if my mom came out of her room at ard 3am that morning. She said she slept through the night till 8am.

I passed by a temple at Yishun on the last day of their 9 emperor festival watching a getai at noon (they were sending the deities back). Out of respect, I prayed at the temple's main door. In the hot noon day sun, I suddenly felt a gust of cold air flow thru my body and momentarily froze me to the spot. Aft I recovered, I continued watching the getai. When I reached home, I came down with fever that lasted a few days. I learnt later on I must have offended the deities as I cant eat meat if I enter their premises. I had grabbed a char siew pau in my rush to go there 😓😓😓

the scariest case i ever had with a hotel was the "george and pilgrims inn" in the uk glastonbury. i should have stayed 2 weeks but only made it to 3 nights. after that i not only left the hotel, i left the entire island england, that´s how scared i was. it was the most creepy encounter i ever had in a hotel but no wonder... it is 800 years old. god alone knows how many souls died there or how often somebody turned it into a portal for negative entities to come through.

Here's a tip: When u turn off the entire (electricity) circuit breaker of the house, all the energy feeding the spirit portals in the house will instantly collapse. The longer u wait to turn back on the electricity, the slower the spirit portals will "grow" back. It means spirit activity in the house will fall also. But only for a short while. If spirit activity also happens outside of the house, it means the land is dirty (energies supporting spirit portals & ghosts). Best to sell the house & leave.

Just my thoughts. In my younger days as a teenager staying in Queen Crescent which is near the old Malayan Railway, I used to go roaming at nights frequently at the railway and the surrounding areas without any torchlight just relying on the moon to feel my way in the dark. I had roam the grasslands, the bushes, open lands, pathways and tunnels at nights for years and yet I never encountered any ghosts or entity. I feel no fears as I roamed all these places at nights almost nightly must to the concerns of my family that I might meet something dirty. Yet when I came to work in the airport I heard a lots of my colleagues and even my neighbour offices saying there are ghosts at night and they tell me a lots of stories like the monitors sometimes can on by itself, or some nights they can heard someone typing in the middle of the nights. When I told them that I don't believe ghosts exist, they thought I was being proud and they said wait until you see one and he won't be so arrogant. Until one night I came to really see one, I know they are not joking with me. All the places I go in my younger days got no ghosts but they exist in the offices. Hard to believe.

I worked at Changi Airport back in the 1980’s and it’s true that it has haunted areas . I worked at the duty free shops and was mostly on afternoon shifts that would only end after the last flights depart around 2-5 am . My unlucky encounter was in the ladies toilet .

Hearing this story brings back memories of my own experience living in khatib from 1986 to 1997. We lived on the highest floor of blk 805, and when i was 5-8 years old, I'd constantly see a shadowy figure on the rooftop of blk 803 which was directly opposite my living room window. I'd see the figure jump off the building repeatedly, and I'd tell my mom who would often tell je to stop looking or talking about it. My unit itself was prone to ghostly disturbances that were corroborated by subsequent owners of the flat whom i became friends with...the area i lived in was close to an old fruit orchard/ plantation called "bah soon pah" rd, which is situated near bottle tree park or whatever its called now

Interesting woman with red heels. If u are sure she comes from the storeroom, buy Sage & burn it inside the storeroom & blow the smoke to fill the entire storeroom. And say, "Close all spirit portals in this storeroom now permanently.". See if she still appears. Don't close the other spirit portal where she exits because that's outgoing portal. Close the incoming portal.

Should have ask your HK neighbour for help, maybe he knows 六壬(One of the main schools dealing with supernatural in HK along with 茅山、闾山、三山、大聖、etc). Hong Kong also have very bad problems with the supernatural because of the way their buildings are built(each floor is completely enclosed, not replacing faulty light meaning places stay dark for days, months, years to even decades, buildings are tightly built into each other which mean spirits can't escape, etc). Lots of HKers in the 50s-80s learn one of the arts so they can deal with basic spirits harassing or illegally entering your house and refuse to leave.(tl;dr they can ask the god to grant them temporary powers to interact with the spirit and beat the s#!t outta them if they refuse to oblige and leave)

When contacted, there are no walks conducted on either of the dates (1-3 April) may be because it's near Qing Ming festival (4 April) and their taking early breaks who knows? Feeling disappointed we had no choice but go ahead with the weekend plans and squeeze with the tourist
