i got a story idea, so let's have some fun: The fairground were never far from my house. i remember distinctly all the times they would come by. The loud noises, the gatherings of people, the lovely music that played through the entire neighborhood, and the smells of the different types of food that you could buy. It was one my favorite things growing up. Now, the fairground is nothing but a wasteland of broken dreams and trauma. Nobody dares enter the premises anymore. There's rumors of cursed happenings and ghost sightings from locals near me. I always dismissed them as being just a bunch of paranoid ramblings. People spreading rumors of some old place out of fear and to keep the young children away from the old equipment that could hurt them. It never bothered me, but it always fascinated me. How this thing, something that I spent my entire childhood waiting for and enjoying all the time spent can turn into something of people's nightmares and creepy folklore that is used to scare children into obeying their parents. It always confused me. So that night, the night I had nothing better to do, I grabbed my flashlight, some extra batteries, and a knife for self-defense, I wandered my way down the street, towards the place of childlike nightmares. The walk had me on edge. The dark street, the foreboding abandoned fairground illuminated by nothing but the moonlight, and the combination of the streetlights illuminating the street and the wind blowing in, giving me a chill from the chilly autumn air and the sound of whistling wind, they all combined into a mix of many different emotions. Fear being the most prominent one. I honestly don't know why I decided venture into that place at night. It just seemed like a good idea at the time. As I approached my childhood place of wonder, my stomach began to turn and turn. My uncomfortability grew with each step, and I could feel my heartrate begin to quicken the more I drew near. The walk wasn't that long. It was only a two minute walk, but that two minute walk felt like the longest walk I've ever had. Eventually, I found my way back to the entrance. It was just as I remembered it. Albeit, a bit more monochromatic. My brain wouldn't shut up at this point. It began yelling at me, saying "Go back! There's no merit to this! All you're gonna do is waste your time or you could even lose your life!" or "Don't enter. You don't know what horrors live in there now." My body made up it's decision faster than my brain could argue, and I began walking through the old dilapidated fairgrounds of wonder that had infected my childhood. The layout never changed once in all my life of going. To the direct left of the entrance sat the dunk-tanks, where everyone would line up for their chance to dunk in whoever was stupid enough to sit up there. Across from them sat the old standard carnival games: Ring Toss, Bottle Busting, Balloon Popping, all the small games. To the right of the entrance laid the accuracy games, with the game masters who always seemed to tired to give any shits. In the center sat the main attraction, and all around it were all the food vendors and their foods. It was all my childhood excitement, back in the same place it always sat. This time, the feeling was much different from how it was when I was younger. Instead of feeling in awe of all the cool games to play and the foods to try, it was dread, terror, and the unease of not knowing what could lay around every corner. The alleys of attractions lay vacant. My flashlight shone through all the different stalls I could remember playing, grayed, empty, and rotting. My pace was slow. My breathing was shaky and shallow. All the memories of the place I could remember were dim, but there in my mind. Being contrasted with what the place was, they felt fake in a way. Like they aren't what I remember them to be. Since the layout never changed, I knew where everything was. The different alleyways led down to the different vendors I could remember well. Their games, their memories, all faded and rotting. I could tell it had been years since this place was last used, even if I never came here. It was disgusting. The place, while not a maze, felt mazelike. I felt like the Minotaur from old mythology: wandering through a maze that all looks the same. Except, nobody's coming for me here. Nobody knows I am here. It's me and my flashlight. Down one of the alleyways on the west side, at the very end, there was a dim light on, seemingly from one of the old attractions. I approached it slowly, out of fear. Nothing was nearby it. No signs of anything. Just an old, old machine that had the lights that would all shine together in a circular pattern. Only the second to last one on the left had any juice. The others were broken. After solving the mystery of the weird light, I felt like there was only one thing left to check: The Main Tent. The rest of the grounds were just going to be the same stuff I had already seen: Old memories rotten and broken, the left over stands and attractions, and the unease that followed me everywhere. This place, the tent, was the place that scared me the most. I never went in there as a child, or if I did, I don't remember what it was like. It was *unexplored territory* and I was not eager to stick around to find out what monsters or mysteries lie within, but it was too late to leave now. I stayed there for a few minutes, deliberating on what to do next: Do I leave and go back home, having explored the place of my childhood? Do I explore more and risk losing my life to something that could or could not be there? I couldn't come to a conclusion. At this point, I had stumbled my way back to the entrance of the park, but looking back at the large tent that stood in the center of the place. I looked at the centerpiece of this place, before turning away and leaving. I walked back through the street quietly. I was calm at this point. No fear of the unknown. Just thinking about the place and why I went there in the first place. I didn't have an answer. Nor do I now. That night, there was one thing off though. As I walked back to my house, there a small feeling in my chest, a very small one. This feeling, it had a voice. It spoke. It spoke in a gentle voice, and it said, "Go back. That's where you belong. With all your old memories. That's where you belong." When I reached the door to my house again, after leaving a few hours prior, I took one look at the fairgrounds, gave a slight chuckle, and headed inside. (god this turned out to be a lot longer than I expected it to be. Oh, and by the way, this (probably) wont be the last of this story. I got more ideas)

It looks like it's "A Million Dreams" by Mary Riddle. (There's a list of tracks in the grey description box; no time stamps, but I just searched that title and pulled up the song elsewhere on its own, and it matches.) Edit: If you like that one particularly, check out "Hoax" and "Cradle Song" by her as well. V^_^

43:26 is Circus of Horror by The Black Goat; 49:00 is Horrorween Circus by Johnathan Segev. (There's a tracklist up in the grey description box, but it doesn't have timestamps, so you have to sort of guess where in the list you are, then search the names around that spot on their own to figure out which track you're listening to. ...I did that, and these titles match those points.)
