Hatsan Mod 25 Supercharger Plinking

Спорт

Today I'm breaking out the Hatsan Mod 25 Supercharger break barrel pistol in .22 for some plinking fun. It's equipped with the Donny FL Tanto moderator and a Tasco red dot sight. Ammo is H&N Terminators 16.36 grains. Enjoy!

    I bought a Hatson Mod 25 the other day and sent it back the same day. I think fakes are going around it had fewer parts less genuine. My trigger was cheap black plastic and the end of the barrel where the sights are was all cheap plastic and non-removable. The pellets would not even drop in because the barrel hole wasn't milled correctly. And this was from Airgun Depot. I notice no one ever leaves a link where to buy this exact gun. I've seen 3 or 4 videos with this gun and the one I bought was way different, but was supposed to be this one.

    I looked up what version Airgun Depot was selling. Hatsan released a "new" version of this gun that is called the Mod25 Supercharger QE. The QE stands for quiet energy. It comes with a plastic cover over the barrel that is plastic with baffles. It also seems they changed the trigger from metal to plastic. I personally don't like that version as it is built cheaper and you can't attach anything to the barrel due to the larger QE attachment molded over the end of the barrel. I did check for you to see if Hatsan USA sells this older version but it seems they don't. I would look on Ebay if you want the original version as shown here. Sad to see they replaced the older (better) model with the new model. I used to see the non-QE model being sold on Midway USA and Amazon from time to time but I am guessing they sold out of their stock as both aren't carrying it. I hope you find the original version as it is a great airgun and built like a tank. Thanks for watching and sharing what you found.

    Theyre pricey but I recommend the big dawg targets. Theyre gigantic, shoot n see style. Tons of room to group, I look at it as 4 or 5+ targets in one though. So price isnt too bad if you get more out of it.

    I ordered 100 sticky bullseye targets and 25 6 inch reactive targets for about 8 bucks on temu app. I will buy more larger ones. You can get a deal on there for the large ones in packs of 5 like you said for less the 10 bucks.

    Don't you have problems cocking with the sound moderator?You think it will last long cocking with it?

    It's sturdy metal. I have been cocking it for 2 years like this. It actually makes it easier to cock with the added length. I pull the moderator off from time to time to clean it and it is in perfect condition, along with the treads on the gun. Thanks for watching and asking! 👍

    Do you lube your ammo? I just saw someone mentioning it yesterday. I never lube but after looking into it, it seems like something people do for better speed and accuracy? I saw something mentioning it prevents fouling, but I have zero in any guns. Curious.

    If I move the ammo to a larger tin or if it is straight up dry feeling, then I will lube it with a drop or two. DON'T OVER DO IT. Again I only lube if I need to. Most times when I open a new can, there is no need as most pellets have a coating on it.

    @toxicmatrix1337 I use silicone oil and very little if it's needed. I had old lead pellets that were bone dry wanted to add them to a larger tin with more of the sane ammo. I put in two drops for maybe 2500 pellets and mixed it well. They are still lubed in that tin a year later. Lol

    @@SavageAirguns Gotcha. I have some 20 year old pellets haha! I'm sure climate has a lot to do with it, its very humid here. Maybe I'm lucking out a bit, I never heard of it until yesterday.

    @toxicmatrix1337 yeah it's humid here too. Northern Ohio. I never had any oxidize except the ones I found in my old storage unit that were from when I was 12 years old. 😅

    Is there a difference between Supercharger vs SuperCharger QE ?

  • @SavageAirguns

    @SavageAirguns

    5 ай бұрын

    Yes, the QE has an integrated barrel shroud to reduce how loud the gun is. QE stands for quiet energy. But it comes at the cost of not being able to have a threaded barrel to attach air strippers or other better muzzle devices (for better sound suppression). If you don't plan on using the threaded barrel of the regular supercharger, then the QE is a better option. If you want the option to attach muzzle devices the the regular non-QE version is the one you want.
