This is generations old, it’s purely ego and arrogance above the law, cameras and auditors are showing this to the wider public unfortunately this will take another generation to possibly change this, it’s psychologically ingrained in polices heads that we are beneath them, daily newspapers reporting the polices crimes against the public and even there colleagues.

Remarkable piece of film the way you stand your ground against these police tyrants over our rights.

They cannot seem to grasp the fact that when they switch on their camera they become a data handler under GDPR and it is a persons legal right to request a copy of that recording, however, if they fail to notify the person at the earliest opportunity, they may not be aware a recording could be available to cover their defence if required. A member of the public does not have to notify them if recording they are not a government body in a public place. Not all members of the public have a camera, so need to know that there is a recording of the interaction.

They know they are breaching it just as they did demanding ID they weren’t entitled to until the uproar got so loud they had to put out a directive. The recording is deliberate a matter of their procedure just like sergeants tearing them off a strip for not getting ID. They are told to get an image. It breaches the law but they don’t care so it goes by default as the public don’t know they are being recorded, identified entered onto a database and tracked.

When are the Police going to reward you for testing the integrity and professionalism of officers in London and beyond? You are literally responsible for upholding UK Policing standards everywhere you go!

Free pre mot roadside checks, police will check your property at night for intruders, make sure you get home if inebriated safely or AE if you fall down.

The attitude of these coppers is disgusting…they can’t even approach members of the public in the correct manner….disgusting behaviour….👎👎

The Sergeant was practicing "deflection", which is their method of avoiding the questions that they don't like! He just wasn't very good at it! Great audit, please keep on making them uncomfotable until they eventually get it right! Sergeant couldn't even get to the bottom of where they are allowed to smoke, so never going to be a crime fighter!

When they can't use violence against you they just shut down - no clue how to interact with the public! !

Earlier today a video went out where an ex Army veteran was arrested by the Police for simply sharing a post on FB that was first put up by Lawerence Fox. Apparently someone "felt alarmed". So every time you see plod wearing a defaced flag of the Country, make a complaint saying how much "distress" it causes and hopefully those wearing an improper symbol will also be arrested for causing alarm, harassment or distress to the general public.

LOL as if any member of the public is going to come into a police station to report a crime - they say "don't report that here, call 101"

Sergeant , please understand. The police cannot make up laws because they do not like what someone is doing. Yardley , Believe me sergeants do very little. It is up to the people who are having those private conversations to ask you not to film them. If their conversation is private they should be taken to a private room. This man has basically said to himself, who cares what he ( Yardley) wants, let him wait . He will probably go away. There is absolutely no concept of service here, just a subtle aggressive superiority.

We are in a system at breaking point.

This is brilliant well done they don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot

Hadfield police would do well to read these comments to ascertain how the public feel about them. They are men and women just in a uniform. What changes when they put that uniform on? How do they think it empowers them? Are they doing the job for the power or to uphold the law? Because most of the public have a poor view of the police. Their poor understanding of the difference s between law and legal and how they think they are immune to being challenged. Keep up the good work Yardley you are helping decent people understand the police are accountable and when they take their uniform off they are not immune.
