Could try DOT3 brake fluid. Tiny bit. Let it sit a while before trying with key again. Then clean it off and apply some lube. I use silicone lube.

When things get stiff like that just wd40 the key and put it in a few times should be fine then over time

Dude lift the nozzel put a tiny drip of fuel on the tip on the key then insert and push down hard. Works everytime for me 👌🏻👍🏻

I have a versys 650 and the key is such a pos. It did this to me just the same a few weeks back so I bought some WD40 and sprayed it in there but wasn't patient enough to wait around for it to work properly so went for a ride, then it was fine,

Also dont bend key as will become weaker over time probs snap off in a barrel
