I remember taking a trip out there to Hasting about 10 years ago. Was a trip of a life time to get out there in the Mid western part of the country to see it and meet some of the people out there. Great time. Hope to someday take another trip out there. For now Have to stick in New England/Connecticut.

My great grandparents built this town! Gaudreault and Mercier, Meme and Pepe, they immigrated from Quebec and farmed this land !

i WAS BORN AND RAised here. I moved away in 1992 for a job in TX still have family there. I go back every summer.

I was born in Hastings, and I stay the hell away.

It was my home from1953 to 1977.

As someone who lived in a nearby town about 40 miles away called "Guide rock" with about 300 people and only a gas station I always thought of those and other surounding towns as towns and Hastings as a city, but everyone calling this a small town is just pain

I live there too

My friend has lived there most of his life, and I stayed with his family for a couple of days the weekend of the Notre Dame game (September 8, 2001). I flew home the next day, which was good because my initial plans were to fly home the morning of September 11.

I got a good friend who lives in Hastings .....I'm moving there from California where it's too expensive to buy a home.....Is this a good place to live for a family?

I live here and I'd say it's nice Housing market isn't as bad as some places, gas is better than most and you have access to almost everything you'll need in the form of many shops scattered around

Sorry to say that the only good thing about Hastings is.........nothing fukn shit hole. Lots of meth and heroin. Anyone who says diff is blind and lives n there basement

@@Solipsis31 north of the overpass has blowin out of sight of course as in any city theres always problems but nothing out of line like big cities great for raising kids or just living here been here since 1969 very easy to get around in north west has the multi million dollar homes lot of them but here on baltimore there pretty resonable and all over i lived in cali and vowed never to go back never have

I was born and raised in Hastings.....sorry...but a real cultural wasteland......I couldn't wait to get OUT...first to the Univ of Nebr...then to Colorado, Hawaii, Az...MUCH better
