Excellent presentation - title is very deceiving and incorrect. The places shown are worth seeing hundreds of times more than Ooty and surrounding areas. If only if those places near and around Hassan, got 1/100th the exposure in publications, than Ooty and adjacent areas, you will be calling Ooty - poor man's Hassan! In the early 70's, when I commuted regularly from the then Bangalore to Mangalore, I always took a break in Hassan for a day or two, and nothing compares to that relaxation and experience. Kannadadee nammodethi, nee kannu teredu nodu, namage varava needu, kai mugive Kannadambe.
