I like how he is such a historically legendary assassin, that even if he gave up his Grand Assassin classification to work with Chaldea, no one else qualifies for it, so he can just go right back to being one when he wants. The term “assassin” itself is literally derived from his name.

​​@@ezon725a grand servant is basically a servant chosen to fight the evils of humanity like tiamat in the video and hassan is such a great assassin that unless he himself gives it up he will always be picked to be a grand assassin. While other classes have several candidates to be chosen to be a grand servant and the world chooses a different candidate based on the situation so they are most of the time the pinnacle of their class one of the best saber, rider or whatever and only the assassin class has one candidate only

​@@luizotavio44it has only one candidate, but at the same time, it's not just one. The other Hassans can also qualify for the Grand title so there are still tons of candidate after this gramps pass down the title. This is because King Hassan is just a title in the organization, despite this particular Hassan being its founder. Every member there at some point will bear the title and have a successor so on and so forth. There will always be a King Hassan, but he/she won't always be wielding Azrael.

@@owenemanka277 It does not MATTER if he is 'death' or not, King Hassan is STILL a Servant in this instance, especially after sacrificing his Grand Saint Graph to fuel his conceptual attack against Tiamat that imposed the concept of death onto her. Nega Genesis is said to insta-kill EVERY Servant that steps into it, that includes King Hassan because he IS a Servant. Only living humans are immune. King Hassan only survives because of 'At The Boundary'. Even then, you can SEE ethereal blue flame spring up on his body as he enters into the Nega Genesis field, just like the fire that appeared when he was shot by a Bel Lahmu earlier, so it IS still affecting him.

Even Ozymandias is absolutely *terrified* of him, and Ozy is more or less on par with Gil. As a villain he'd be damn near unstoppable, and even if he was eventually defeated, it wouldn't have been without him leaving a ton of bodies in his wake.

@@gamester512 ummm no Gilgamesh and Ozy are basically bestfriends for their similar attitudes but Ozy is weaker than Gilgamesh. Gil can just nuke him in his Pyramid with EA not to mention Ozy has divinity so the chains of heaven will also be effective on him.

@@INCOGNITO-iq4qy I know Ozy is weaker than Gil, but he's not weaker by very much, they're still very close to each other in terms of overall power. And while Gil certainly has the means to put Ozy down really fast if he wanted to (Chains of Heaven & Ea being the main ways he could do so....but without his Chains or Ea it would very likely be a much closer fight where the winner wouldn't be nearly as clear-cut), Gil very likely wouldn't use them right away because he'd likely be having too much fun tangling with Ozy. Gil probably wouldn't resort to Ea until he had had his fill of fun with Ozy, at which point he would happily show off Ea as Ozy would certainly be someone Gil viewed as being worthy of witnessing the sword's power.

@@gamester512 there are literally three things that make gilgamesh a powerful foe. Those are the chains of heaven, ea, and the gate of babylon. So if you take away two out of three aspects that make up his power than of course he's going to be no where near as threatening as he would be at full strength. That's why there was such a major difference between his archer and caster classes but also why they had to force a paradigm switch on gil to force him into his archer class at the end. because as a caster he's practically crippled in comparison to his archer class.

@@lolok1099 low key, Yama has nothing on Hassan. Both are fucking insanely powerful but Hassan is just too domineering with his power. Yama has things he needs to protect and thus he is shackled. Hassan is indifferent to life as a whole he serves the world itself and will sacrifice as many lives necessary bar his master to ensure victory and the continuation of the world. That’s why the requirements to summon him are so fucking steep. The world must literally hang in the balance just to get Hassan to fight.

この場面外にはなるが聖者モードで5倍近くに強化されたあの筋肉ダルマガウェインを相手に圧倒的な実力差を見せてたね。 山の翁と一騎打ちでやりあえる鯖は片手で数えれるほどしかいない

「冠位」の資格を持つアサシンクラスなのに隠し武器・暗器ではなく、正面から戦う大剣を武器に選んで正面から挑む戦い方が好きすぎる。

@@Modoki_Crazy 山の翁は暗殺者を殺す暗殺者というかなり特異な仕事をしています。 なので互いに姿を隠しながら奇襲を狙う戦法でいくとかなり時間がかかるし埒が明かないので、あえて姿を晒すことで攻撃を誘い、そこを一刀両断してたという話もあります。

Imagine being so terrifying, you imprint the concept of death into an immortal, to the point they become mortal.

I also love that the heavily implied lore for why Hassan is so powerful is that not only is he a grand Assassin because his name and order is where the name even derives, but he is also potentially the first murderer: Cain. He makes references to himself being of human descent close to Adam and Eve and the idea that Cain has been roaming the earth until the about the time of the Third Crusade to form the assassins makes enough sense in the term of the curse God put on him and the Fate universe at large.

I have a friend that watched fsn and fz but never played fgo. But when we watched this anime together and 'a beggar on the street' scene plays, he immediately knew that beggar is gonna play huge role cuz "he share the same VA as kotomine kirei"

I dont know why but I just love how hyper styilized the Tiamat CGI is. Suprisley helps it work since it matchs the more detailed backgrounds and lighting, making almost look like it lept out of the gane cutscenes. Also I loved the detail of the lines you see in Shiki's NP being drawn on Tiamat. Its a cool way to show that the concept death is being enforced on her, in a way only fans of FGO would recognize.

It’s neat when CGI is used intentional to depict how something is so alien to everything else.

God, this guy is such an absolute juggernaut. Literally bleeding flames all over from his wounds, he still stands strong and marches forward. They impale him again, he just looks down at them then literally devours them. He is truly Absolute Death. "For whom the bell tolls," indeed.

これまで何されても何食わぬ顔だったティアマトがハッキリと敵対的な反応を見せているところを見るに山の翁がいかにヤバい存在かがわかる

@@captainweekend5276 the game does show that the Ziusu dra was Gramps. His silhouette is shown changing into Gramps when he appears for the final battle. As for Siduri, its obvious that it was her. What other human connection did chaldea make that was so strong that would make a lahmu not attack them besides Siduri. Its just that animes get a lot more room to drop hints like these than games.

@@captainweekend5276 Agung yoga is correct. Severing Ereshkigal from the Three Goddess Alliance was Ziusu Dra, aka Old Man Hassan. Azrael was used on Ereshkigal, breaking her contract with the alliance between herself, Quetzacoatyl and Gorgon. And in the game, as Old Man Hassan appeared, it was the silhouette of Ziusa Dra, and it changed to Old Man Hassan.

@@captainweekend5276 Its the direct translation from the game. It's used in the anime. Of course, as I said, some lines were taken out, but they are all the same. And Old Man Hassan is Ziusu Dra. It's been confirmed. Go to the fandom wiki pages. Besides, the anime is faithful to the game, meaning Aniplex and Nasu are involved to make sure there are no changes

I just summoned him in the game. I love him so much he is by far the coolest servant in my opinion.

You think he was serious here? See his legend is one of those weird one were if he truly leaves no witnesses, how did his legend come to be? Honestly, he was probably trying here but I wouldn’t even begin to believe he was serious, mainly because he had to watch out for collateral damage. Had he really been allowed to cut loose he’d likely impose death on every living being in the vicinity kill off Taimat and go back to his alter to continue praying to God because he ain’t got time for her crap. Heads need rolling, god needs praying to.

So to all that lives dies and finds value" is wrong in your translation and also the anime subs. the right translation is: it's not because someone is alive that their life have value, but because life can end so it can have real value. the wrong translation is more poetic.

@@mehdikhalfallah3056 Actually, you're wrong. That's how it was also translated in the game. Sure in the anime he doesn't say "Of rank, nor station, nor the title of Grand do I need.", but the anime subs is exactly word for word with the game save the line I mentioned.

I love that when his eyes change there’s a light tonal ping to indicate his demeanor has changed. But at 1:10 it’s not a ping it’s the sound of that Llamus heart stopping after realizing how fucked he is.

Fate is where... Saber has sword shoots laser beams. Archer uses swords and fists more than bow and arrow. Lancer always die. Berserker can read books and talks normally Assassin use a giant sword like saber and eats flesh like a berserker.

@@battleshipbismarck Yeah but at the same time Babylonia still had pretty good animations. But you just can't beat Ufotable, the Tsukihime remake's OP is just perfect and we all know about Demon Slayer and their Fate adaptations. I'm hoping Ufotable will get more Fate adaptations, maybe they could even adapt Tsukihime into movies like Kara no Kyoukai. It's just pure eye-candy at this point.

@@battleshipbismarck The animation in Babylonia had amazing NP animations that can rival UFO Table,and the actual animation for Babylonia wasn't bad. It was actually really good. The fact they used 3D animation for Tiamat actually was impressive with how it fit in the style. Then let's not forget the animation of Apocrypha, it was also as good. Though the budget did go to Karna and Sieg(fried)'s battle, it was still great. Though I think Karna's Vasavi Shakti's animation was godly.

Out of all FGO chapters, Only Shimousa and Heian kyo will fit ufotable imo. On of it is because it has the same theme as KnY

One of my hopes for the last Lostbelt are that Hassan reclaims his title as Grand Assassin and just.goes.off.

@@MrRwert He never has title to begin with, because he is not dead, sure he is a Grand Caster candidate and has Clarvioyance, but can't take the seat, cuz you know he is still alive in Avalon. As of right now the seat of the Grand Caster remains vacant.

And this is why we respect the old man of the mountain. He not only scared a immortal god, but introduced the concept of Death to it, meaning it could actually die. And not only is he the first assassin he is one the Hassans fear, if they fuck up and diverge from the path of a hassan he will take their heads.....and do so before they even know he has done so.

King hassan has one of the most broken abilities of all time. Yeah gilgamesh can erase reality but we've seen countered ,how do you negate a concept forced upon ,especially death, this is anti-immortal noble phantasm

The "Concept of Death" is not a kill move, it simply grants the target the [Ability to Die], which some creatures do not have. King Hassan is just strong enough to often inflict instant death together with the actual attack, but that is just a bonus.

I like how First Hassan can literally just tank damage with his abilities in lore because nobody really knows whether he’s actually alive or dead
