For half the marked down price of the Legacy version, it's pretty good. Not the best but it manages to put the action back into action figure with all those added joints.

Agreed, I’m not really big into power rangers but the mighty morphins were a big part of my childhood so I had to get one of these for the reasonable price. Plus it’s optional but with some good metallic model paint I added all the extra details & it looks tv show accurate.

Looks like an ok budget version. Would be interesting to see more of these or what there collector version will be.

They got to do more of these low-level megazord releases

It's not the best but I wouldn't mind theses being the new legacy megazords. For the legacy line I was really hoping to get to the Disney era megazords or at least late Saban.

@@rhaeasoul8531 I'm hoping they do a better version for Lightning Collection, but this isn't too bad. My main gripe is the same as the Legacy version - the hollow Mastodon legs. If those were full legs, at least the back legs that turn into the tank mode cannons, I would have no trouble with this one.

How is it the original release is the only one to have actual wheels on the Saber-Tooth? Also, more knee pegs. Joy. Personal rankings of the OG Megazord: 1) Soul of Chogokin 2) MiniPla 3) OG 90's release 4) Legacy 5) Hasbro 6) 2010

I would have said the 2010 beat this until I saw all of the added articulation. I might get this and just leave it in Megazord mode forever. As far at that goes, it looks decent enough and ToyHax will probably have stickers soon.

I have to agree with you. SOG is a work of art. Sadly though, in my country it costs 2 arms and a kidney! The 2010 version is quite cheap looking.

The arm on my mastodon broke off while I was trying to open it because it was even tighter than yours. Be careful everyone to pry at the back connection and not with the arm!

Glad I found your channel! I have collected PR since the beginning of the LC/as a kid but the old old stuff is long gone now lol. I haven’t even touched the zords yet so as you said at the end, it’s a Godsend to get for a budget Zord…..also, the VHS zords too. I have a lot of painting/sticker buying ahead of me but, until I can complete everything else Ranger related, I’m happy to have this and the basic VHS for the shelf. So fun to hear the jokes and analysis. Thanks.

What we need is lightning collection size figures so we can have them fight villian figures

I still dont understand why articulation has for the most part remained the same since 1993, this new megazord does have slightly more articulation than we are accustomed to but we can still go further, take a look at some of the Transformers combiners, they're not all great but some are pretty good and they do more than most Zords while being affordable etc.

i really hope they can get all the way to rpm because I can't find the original megazords for a good price (they're like around 300 for the go onger one) but it probably won't happen

While its far from perfect I think this looks solid. I never owned any previous release of the dino megazord so this will be the perfect chance for me and to review it on my channel.

I wonder if they'll release a dragonzord figure to go along with these.

Looks awesome, for the price. I mean, it looks proportional, thight and it's articulated. I mean, it hasn't the best paint job, and looks a little "loosey" around the legs, but looks more resistant than some things Bandai has pulled off.

Something that you might don’t know is that you have to watch out the T-Rex zord chest because the part that is holding it together can brake if you put to much pressure on it while trying to open the chest to hide the t-Rex head

There are only two things I wish were a little better about this. First, the Mastodon legs not being hollow. I think I like the tank mode a little more than most, and the fact that both this and the Legacy version have indents there is annoying. The other is the Triceratops tail having that solid rectangle instead of twin cannons. I wouldn't even care if they didn't rotate, but why is the original the only one to separate them? Overall though, not bad. Might get it as a stand-alone since I have the Legacy Ultrazord for, well, Ultrazord mode. Might get one to mod into the TMNT/PR Metalhead Megazord.

repaint those gonna be a lot of fun :p

That was my first thought; repaint them , fill in the hollow parts, and tighten some joints and it's almost like a 50$ SOC megazord.

I'll definitely see if I can get this megazord I mostly wanna get a figure of the original megazord sure I got the build a figure from the legacy line but I want the the actual megazord itself that splits into 5 zords

Can this combine with the legacy dragonzord though?

15:50 If you actually look up the heights of the megazords, these figures are in proper scale. The Dino megazord (the middle one) is only 41 m tall whereas the Wrecker zord (the left one) is 41.3 m tall and the beast x megazord (the right one) is 53.5 m tall

This is the kind of figure that I probably won't actively seek out, but if I saw it in stores, I'd probably buy it.

I think Bandai did a better job with the 2010 non-legacy Megazord, especially when I it was released for $30 (if I remember). I think if Hasbro included stickers, it would look comparable but it’s even more hollow than the Bandai 2010 one.

My T-Rex's chestplate broke off above the hinge after only two transformations. WTH?

You should be fine. They haven't shown up at all stores yet and some of the preorders at online stores haven't even shipped yet.

@@DosmRider I noticed after looking around some. Wow how did you get it early? Do you know anything about how many they are releasing? You mentioned it was cheaper quality compared to other legacy remakes I'm just worried that people will jump on the too quickly and I'll have to wait again. I was waiting back when the choriki or whatever one came out a few years ago. missed that one cause of the price.

It's not just yours I watched a different review of this and the person had the same issues with Mastodon and the horns

so hasbro is producing a what looks like a KO quality Megazord... expected better but oh well, elbows and knees make it good though

It's $50, I wasn't expecting even this much. More importantly, though, KOs generally try to mirror the original as closely as possible except with thin, brittle plastic, incorrect colors, and gimped mechanisms. This thing has elbows, bicep swivels, ball joint hips, and lateral arm swings. Very few Megazords have had that level of articulation, and certainly not any bootleg.

@@TM2Cheetor Correction, it's closer to $40 US, and which is only about $50 Canadian. But even then, $50 US is like $65 Canadian.

I got my copy of this megazord and to be honest I like it and this was my perfect chance to get I dino megazord for my first time

The Megazord mode is pretty good save for some missing details. But I am sure ToyHax will have a label set out in a month or so.

I wonder if Bandai will ever re release the super mini pla version 😢 to me that's the one I would have love to get, but alas this might do the trick, with some extra paint and stickers of course.

I prefer to get the hasbro version of the megazord over the minipla because of the price 😂

the lack of detail doesn't bother me at all cause of one MAJOR reason most megazords before wld force megazord/gao king you had to put on stickers

Hopefully this line gets to late Saban / disney / neo Saban; I'd kill for a legendary megazord since I love the design and it's sentai. Honestly say what you will for the adaptions but neo Saban really chose some good sentai.

I loved the designs and the Zords for Super Megaforce. It's just too bad that the Rangers were the same as the first Megazord cast, because they were not very interesting.

Yeah; honestly supermegaforce was the first and only time I think the footage was too good. the teamwork shown was way too good for a team who were strangers maybe a year ago.

True it's not perfect, and Hasbro is capable of sooo much more, but a little bit of paint and decals will go a long way with this guy. I still dig it.

You know I saw thus question asked fir the SOC megazord but at least the SOC looked similar; what part of this even looks like it's even the same line? I wouldn't even say it can balance becuase of the die cast piled on top of this obvious cheap version.

I recently got the new Hasbro Dino Megazord. He is alright since I dont own any of the older Megazords so he will still be good shelf piece. Will be interesting to see if they do another version soon with better plastic similar to the new Transformers Siege/Earthrise.
