As someome who studied film in college and university and is self employed as a filmmaker and photographer and also trying to get into the film industry, I think I may be a smidge bit qualified to state the following. The average time spent on filming a Hollywood movie is usually 3 months. A small indie film can be filmed within less than a month. A 5-6 month filming schedule is freaking long asf. When they filmed Infinity War and Endgame, they were filmed back to back and they spent a whole year. But the sheer scale of those films alomg with scheduling conflicts with all the actors/actresses in both those movies make it understandable on why it took so long. So yes, the filming of this new superman film is freaking long compared to normal films Edit: To also mention...on average it can take 2-3 years to make a film. From the intial concept, script, preproduction, principle photography, post production, release, etc. The actual filming part of a movie is the shortest bit in the entire process. You can easily spend up to a year in preproduction amd post production is usually the longest. Even longer than filming and preproduction. It takes A LOT of time to edit the film, do the VFX, sound design, colour grading, marketing, etc

I was always sure this conversation occurred at the Guardians of the Galaxy party and this business of people saying he’s lied again and nice try. My God what is wrong with these people?? With respect, this video did nothing to reassure me Gunn isn't a liar. There's so much more than the one thing you talked about and labeled "conspiracy theories" associated with it. Trust is hard to come by with Gunn. Why is that? Why not other directors? Because Gunn has manipulated and/or lied on so many things that even Gunn can't keep them straight with a simple explanation. Which can be good if the optimism is warranted. Gunn has done nothing to warrant that. Everything he's done only suggests the opposite. There's optimism and there's truth. The two shouldn't be confused. Our Movie News as a whole, however, I think is very good. I don't wish to taint the channel over one subject matter. Time will be telling for Gunn. I don't think that Gunn did anything but fuel "conspiracy theories" by answering the question. There was a premiere for "The Suicide Squad" despite some claiming that covid prevented it, you can look it up. Has Nathan Fillion said that he misspoke? I could stand behind that. I don't know how his being cast as Guy Guardian would have anything to do with taking over the studio or rebooting the DCU, since we haven't had a Hal Jordan to reboot. I took his comment to simply mean that they were planning something to follow up Gunn's pretended success with "TSS." "TSS" is one of the biggest flops of any of the DCEU movies to this day, regardless of how some fans try to prop it up now, or how many inane critics praise it; they didn’t support the film in theaters. Regardless, there's not any real problem with the quote of Fillion, and until I see that he corrects it, I disbelieve Gunn because Gunn HAS been found repeatedly to have lied to the fans. You've covered those "inconsistencies" in the past, and I look foward to your honest reporting of these news updates in the future. All my distrust and criticisms of James Gunn aside, and my absolute lack of confidence in this crew or creative team producing a great Superman film, I am very much looking forward to seeing a new Superman film. It has been over a decade since we've had one, and almost a decade since BVS, so I will still be happy to see Superman back on the big screen. And my expectations are so low, Gunn and company barely have to do a thing except to make it fit the Superman lore to have my support in theaters. I am a die hard DC fan. Keep it up, sir!

Black Adam wasn't good enough to be commercially successful. Did Tony Stark help the Incredible Hulk to be financially successful because he cameo there? False advertising is a crime. I loved the 1st guardians, the second was OK and I disliked the third. I think overhyped with criticism. I liked the villain other that to be was standard. I honestly think that James Gunn will not be able to carry the dcu into success. I'm not trying to jinx him but it's hard to see him making a successful movie. His style of making movies always involve perversion, profanity, and ridiculous lame jokes. If this is what he is going to insert into the movie superman legacy then we can kiss the dcu goodbye.

I believe hes been involved for far longer than we know. They certainly knew Henry wouldnt be continuing but let him publicy announce himself as still being Superman. I wont be forgetting that. Who knows what would have happened if Black Adam had done well in Theatres. I do however, at this moment in time, just want a good Superman Movie, I dont agree with all the casting (Hawkgirl and others) but, David has the look for it, and with the right script and story, we could have a decent movie to watch, optimistic.

@orhanamin1347 nothing would make me happier than seeing Henry back in the suit, but in all honesty, I think he's done with it and past it. He disappeared of socials a for long time after retracting his Superman statement. If somehow we did get more of the old DCEU, it's likely to be animated as it's the most realistic option, previously covered on this channel. If you live the Character, let's just stay positive and hope they can do it justice 👍

Wow that was a long analysis man. Havent got much time to read it all, managed to read the first few lines. All in all, i agree that WB have screwed up the progress of the DCEU and destroy everything from whatever that they took over from. Though after we get the Snydercut, we still do demand for a continuation of the movie, because it has alot of potential which WBD fails to see. By taking away the roles from Mike DeLuca and Paula, they ripped the chances of it, the Snyderverse, being realised. WBD is just restarting fresh with whatever shit JGunn had years before and see where it would lead. To be honest WBD is just full of themselves and David just is as clueless as Discovery was.
