Intel and Intel Arc had a rough journey so far, though at least Intel XeSS 1.3 the latest version of the Intel XeSS upscaler is looking rather promising! Though it is spoiled somewhat by Intel XeSS 1.3 trying to make its improvements look a lot more impressive than they actually are...

The change in resolution on that scale is supposed to reflect the difference in quality from improvements in Version 1.3 from the previous version. So with these improvementsin quality, theoretically, the change from 1.3x to 1.5x is suppose to be a very similar quality - but the quality improvements allowed them to upscale to 1.5x instead.
1.3 looks a lot better than 1.2, but we lose about 1 FPS at the same scaling. More flexibility is good though, not awesome but good.
