i'm probably going to buy the pass, the equipmet and ores to upgrade it(mostly glowy and starry ores since they're the hardest to get) i need to see the golem king with that equipment while i attack

Gauntlet + Starry ores is probably the best combo f2p, especially if you have the pixel king or any other king skin that you like, I have 3k gems but Im not sure when it will be available and for how much, besides that they might bring the goblin builder event back which is amazing value for gems

I have 9.168 gems saved. So i will wait for goblin skin rerun with gems and get this gauntlet.

I don't really mind having less cosmetics in exchange of progress. So I'll probably get the gaunlet or books. It would be nice if they reveal the price of the gaunlet in advance. That way I can compare prices from the trader shop (500gems and 1030 cookie medals for book of heroes). See which one has better value. If the gaunlet costs more then 1500 gems then I'll just get it within the event time.

I think epic equipment could either be: A) It’s own category available for around 500 gems or more. B) Available in the League Shop for League Medals.

@@chefman5167 Imo it is atleast 1500 gems. Since 3 boh (3x1030) si almost equal to the gauntlet (3100) in terms of cookie medals. I think it can be proportional to: 3boh (3x500) = gauntlet(1500) in terms of gems hypothetically. If it is as cheap as 500gems I can imagine it causing outrage, players would definitely complain.

as a F2P player (at least for now) i would buy the skin, due to to fact that it WILL cost money, and at that point u cant buy it as a F2P player. The Guanlet on the other HAND (get it?) its... fine.... like we play Barbarain King with the 2 abilities for years, he still be powerful without it, not to mention its an epic equipment that mean it require Star Ore soo u cant use it at full potential...., and i also i doubt that this gonna cause money cus if thats the case then HO!!! boi... i really hope it doesnt, so the skin is more value for f2p players cus this is a one time thing, and u can enjoy it for however long u want, while the gualnet once u have it u cant really use it fully anyway, if this thing cause around 1.5k gems then its fine, its not the end of the world. u will get it, also the Black Smith just came out so i doubt theres gonna be ppl using ores to upgrade The Guanlet. i know this is already a long comment, but i really appricate that u said "Pay to Progress" cus nowaday i feel like players use the word P2W WAY too much, it rarely happen nowaday but ppl still use it =-= you are not missing out on anything, sooner or later u will get the thing.

Yea totally agreed most the games are mostly pay to progress so people shouldn't complain about it, like people are wasting their hard earned money ofc they would want something better in return,so they get better reward in return ,but supercell is still being really good toward the f2p player they aren't neglecting them , i just don't like it how people cry about it so much

for me, i have many good looking skins for each hero from passas, so unless a new skin is something that stands out i dont need it and anyway i have a cookie warden and i dont need 3 same skins, the babarian fist something i can use so its an easy choice :D , i get it that some want the whole package, skin scenary and decorations, but then be ready to pay

Probably gonna do what you said and get the skin. I’m a F2P at TH12 sitting at 7-8k gems so I don’t think the equipment will be *too* much of an issue to get later

I think I will choose equipment, because I never switch league king skin since I got it

i am a free to play and i dont think the game is pay to play or pay to win yet, the epic equipment is for everyone .... the pass just increases your progress which is honestly a part of every game more or less.... people are just mad that they have to pick between the equipment and the skin (which is understandable since most ftp doesnot have good skins ).... i mean the pixel barb and ghost queen were already free ..so there is no use wining about it.. on a side note: if u want the skin that badly...just go it... the equipment will be later available for gems..but the skin would cost real money since its a legendary skin.....

All I want is the Gingerbread King skin. All I always care about is cosmetics/skins. Are you sure we can get it without paying anything?

It still sad that the only true free skin was the ghost queen, you choose it above progress but now it may be exclusive progress and actually hurt your to not have, every other thing in the game you could pay to get it faster, equipments can be gatekept, especially becuse the epic ones have more levels and you need stary ores

this time its not a question of progression or cosmetics. a book to make a defense upgrade faster is progression, a extremely strong hero equipment that you won't get otherwise or just after a long time, is not about progression...

I mean its not p2w. If you want the new ability you can get it. You will only lose a skin and time boosts (pay to progress). The giant gauntlet is not behind a pay wall.

Personally, I think that the Gingerbread Skin looks like a coloured ruler. And it’s not the beautiful in my opinion. The Skin has nothing really new but the Equipment….Thats so much better

Definitely buying Gingerbread King. I always choose cosmetics over progression in every game I play. And most of the time, progression is not exclusive, but cosmetics are (which is also true in this case, cuz I'm f2p)

i think, as a f2p, they did the right choice. For f2p, you still get a gear and ores (which its pretty good) and it appeals for people to buy the pass, maintaining the profit and making sure that the game doesnt die. The skin is a cosmetic, an unessencial part of the game, so i completely agree on being locked down by a paywall. The gauntlet being for all makes the progression similar for even those that dont spend, which is awesome. Also for me is an easy choice, the gauntlet, but i dont see any issue with other f2p preffering the skin. I already have a skin for him and im pretty happy with it so progression is more important for me.

I don't mind having to choose between a Hero equipment or a Hero skin but I don't like that whatever you choose, you can't get both the decorations. In Mashup Madness I skipped the Hero skin to get all the decorations and it worked out fine, but now I would probably have to choose between a a decoration and an Epic equipment that might cost 1000+ gems in the future..

Judo and other people are saying that it's gonna come out layer costing gems, if it was event exclusive it would be really bad for new players that missed the event.

I'm just upset you can't get the gauntlet, skin, and both decorations even if you buy the event pass. Even if you do you still come up short for the cost of all 4

i bought out the shop of all 3 ore types (except like 14 or something of the 40 shiny ore), then they reset the shop because of bugs and I bought it all again lol, and I got the gauntlet ofc. I don't like the skin. IMO if you didn't get the Gauntlet with the first 3100 cookies you had, you're not very smart.

as a f2p player who doesn't like the way the gingerbread skins look I'm definitely gonna grab the gauntlet and save my gems to buy skins i actually like the look of

I completely agree with you. Coc isnt a p2w as of yet, while CR has gone to extra step to p2w. They not only increased monthly pass price but also reduced amount of rewards from it. About the gauntlet/king skin I think, its better to skin gauntlet for now. Bcz we f2p wont be even able to use it much. bcz surely we don't have enough starry ores and it will take couple of months to gather enough for making it to decent lvl. So, what I will do is farm starry for couple of months and get the gauntlet by gems at that time. so win-win situation for me

They need to add bundles for the skins so you can buy the whole set without having to play $10 per skin. $10 for 1 skin is ridiculous they need either lower the price or add some books of heroes, or other resources with it.

As f2p who loves collecting decorations pay to win locked decorations makes me hurt. They did same in November locking statue behind pass which they didn't do last year. I am concerned that clash is becoming more p2w

Decorations and skins doesn't give you unfair advantages towards others. So pay to win isn't exactly the word you are looking for here. Also we are given choices here on what we spend our medals on, it is not surprising if we can't get everything of our choice especially if we don't pay for it.

The new pass is AWESOME. You still get the chance to get the free Legendary Skin for free, or you pay 5 dollars (way cheaper than token offers) and you can get both plus more rewards. I don't understand the complains. CoC, even with this Hero equipment thingy, is still a really F2P friendly game. If you wanna know how a P2W is, go and play Clash Royale and the new Clash Mini update....

i have 14k gems, all farmed but things like this pass is of course all the time only for real money so the f2p people can't have a chance to get it even after playing and supporting the game for a long time. besides that most people would still buy the pass with real money because they don't have enough gems...
