    Double combines across the field!!!

  • @KCautodoctor
    @KCautodoctor5 жыл бұрын

    The LED light draws much less amperage after it has gotten warmed up (which explain why it works the first time but not again shortly afterwards) and the digital light controller in the combine likely thinks there is a problem. The easiest thing to do is add another load to that circuit - maybe double up the LED lights or add the original light back on along with the new LED light. It is similar issue to why LED taillights lights retrofitted on a vehicle cause the blinker to malfunction (either blink rapidly or not blink at all) -- the LED lights do not put enough of a load on the blinker for it to work correctly.

  • @master180t

    @master180t

    5 жыл бұрын

    KCautodoctor is correct but just head to autozone and grab a load resistor kit for taillights and spice one into the auger light wiring.

  • @GoldPicard

    @GoldPicard

    5 жыл бұрын

    I've had that same problem on the many older used cars I've owned, because while I won't do too many changes to the car one of the things I always do is replace all the halogen lights with LEDs because of the reduced power draw and also that LEDs nowadays are amazingly reliable. But yeah because of the reduced power draw I usually have to add a resistor into the line or tie some lights together to increase power draw and not have the blinker problem.

    Led lights cause goofy problems with computers when they expect a larger load. Had a customer with a mid 2000s suburban that he put led tail light bulbs in and it caused the cruise control to not work. That was a fun one to figure out.

    Yup, same for my old bike. Needed a resistor or another LED. In this case as you need the light, I'd recommend another LED on the same circuit or a single, bigger one.

    As a city boy, and a Navy vet, Could you shoot a short video explaining how the Corn head actually works, as far as removing Kernels from the cob? And then one on the soybean head explaining how that works to extract the beans from the plants? I would appreciate it! TY in advance.

    I’d be interested in how the corn head actually chops up the stalks, we don’t farm corn up here. The header doesn’t remove corn from cob that is all done in the combine. As for the bean header it cuts the plant stalk off very close to the the ground, the spinning reel keeps the the plants from falling forward once they’re cut, the auger then pulls the entire plant, pods and beans into the combine. The combine then does the separation/threshing. The headers only cut the crop, and feed it into the combine.

    Header for corn removes cobs from the stalk. It is done by two cylinders, which holds the plant in between and as they are rolling, plant goes to the ground, and in this motion, stable knives removes a corncob. Rest of the plant is chopped by a small chopper, which is under every row on the header. It is because for combine it is hard (and unnessecary) to deal with tall and hard corn plant. Sorry, hard to explain in EN for me.

    After watching so many of your videos, and living in a heavy farming region here in Kentucky, I have a whole newfound respect for farmers. All the issues that arise from simply trying to take 1 field, and how hard it is to really get the crops taken, its really makes you appreciate everything they do to harvest up all the things they(you) do that help make this world go round. Keep up the awesome videos. I stalk my youtube feed daily for your videos and I simply can not get enough farm action. #gotime!

You should do one on how you troubleshoot grain loss, grain tank quality, and what to adjust to improve grain loss, unthreshed grain, grinding and damaging grain. I upgraded from a 9500 to a 9570 STS. I'm slowly getting the hang of fine tuning the settings but it's a totally different machine. Just a suggestion for a future video. Stay safe out there.

    I’m glad to see a farmer in your area is smart enough to go red. I was almost convinced that all Minnesota was green. 😂😂😂😂. Just kidding, I was born and raised red but I think any color can do a great job harvesting in today’s world. Hope you can run lots and lots of crops!!!!

    Zach, The ecu driver for that light is sensing an OPEN ( FMI .03) the fault code SPN 523589 FMI 03, is indicating that the voltage is out of range high, meaning not enough load on that circuit and it thinks its OPEN. since going from incandescent light to an LED light, the resistance is much less, especially when the light is "warm". adding another light might help or a load equalizer/ resistor to add that load back to the circuit. hope you continue to have a good and safe harvest.
