Harvesting in the Hills of the Palouse!

Ойын-сауық

We prepare to plant winter wheat with our Great Plains air seeder in Kansas one week and then travel to Washington where they are harvesting wheat the next! See how we pick up fertilizer from the co-op and get our seed loaded into the air seeder. Also, check out the beautiful Palouse Hills of Washington at the end of the video!

The Peterson Farm Bros are made up of Greg (28), Nathan (25), and Kendal (22) Peterson. We are 5th generation family farmers who farm together in Kansas with our parents David and Marla, our sister Laura, and our wives BrookeAnna (Greg's) and Caelan (Kendal's). This channel is full of videos about our family farm and what we do to take care of animals and grow crops. Our videos range from parodies, to informational videos, to entertainment videos, to our "Life of a Farmer" vlogs. It is our hope that these videos will give everyone who watches them a better understanding of what a real farm in the midwest looks like. We try to be as honest and upfront as possible in our videos and our posts and hope that viewers will realize how much hard work goes into farming! I grew up on a farm in Eastern Washington and went to college in Pullman at Washington State University. Have taken many trips up to Steptoe Butte where you did the opening shot. No antennas though in my days (1968). Great scenery out there good memories. Thanks

Great video - It's good for people to know what your work is all about. . . Thanks for sharing! God bless, and may the harvest go smoothly this year! (I grew up on a family farm in central Illinois, so this brings back a lot of memories.)

Great video! Brings back so many memories. We farmed just 40 or 50 miles further north near Reardan, WA. Amazing to see them still tilling the ground and running with a crawler tractor. I'm told a lot of the farmers have gone to no till. You did get to do one thing we never seemed to get around to - you drove to the top of Steptoe Butte.

WOW, great video. It was interesting and enjoyable to see the footage from the Palouse Hills in Washington State. Glad you did a ride-along with the Combines, gave a great perspective of working that type of geography. The shot of the sky with the storms moving in was awesome (@8:00 mins). Not great for farming plans, but beautiful all the same. You would not be able to see expansive views of the sky like that in my area unless you go to high ground.

We have vast areas of hills similar to those of your place but they are hills of sand in the sahara desert 😂very hot in summer terribly cold in wenter .You would cross hundreds of kelometeres to find a small oasis with water springs .

Thanks for the video. Just wondering regarding the farm save seed you are planting. Are there a tipe of royalty being payed to the seedcompany who bred the wheat variety? The cost for developing new wheat varieties is very high.
