Masao Kato was without question one of the, if not the, greatest Koi hobbyists of all time.
In part 5 of Harvest Time in Niigata we attend the harvests of the Niigata mud ponds used to house some of the best Koi of Kato san's Koi collection, many of which are prize winners at the highest level in Japan.
Sadly Masao Kato passed away in May 2014 robbing the Koi world of one of its greatest ambassadors.
