I agree. I have a few recordings of them switching at Rondout on a nice quiet night where the night air was quiet and the train sounds would become magnified. They would drop off the coil steel cars for SOO Line train 243. usually around the same time most nights. Great times.

Nice catches of the local.

I knew a lady that I have talked to quite a bit who worked at Heartwell railroad. she was a real nice lady. I hope to contact her but I don’t know if she still there. when I go back home to Elberton for Christmas I’m going to contact that place. I came close to riding on a locomotive.

I saw 657 still in Full J paint about 1 month ago at IC/CN Glenn yard. (I edited this to put the word full in for emphasis).
