Trelawney predicted Neville would break his cup by saying "once you've broken your cup, you can get another over there." (Something like that) and then Neville did crack his cup. Maybe that is the reference?

I’m rather attached to the pink.” Sure enough, Neville had no sooner reached the shelf of teacups when there was a tinkle of breaking china.

I actually love this type of box, seriously useful things that are fun and magically branded! It feels a bit more grown up than some of the other stuff I've seen in these boxes. Only wish is that there would've been maybe one or two more items, but even so, this might be one of my favorite sub boxes just for the actual usefulness of the contents!

Peter you should consider opening LitJoy's Harry Potter quarterly subscription boxes. They are so divine and would make a great addition to your channel..! I was so looking forward to you opening their October box.

fun side note - in half blood prince, slughorn told the class to brew something amusing and harry brewed an elixir to induce euphoria (with a dash of peppermint) !

I always thought Ron's prediction was actually pretty accurate. If you think about how worried Harry was about seeing the black dog (before he knew who it was) and that Sirius escaped from Azkaban and was probably after him, Harry was "suffering"; but then he found out who Sirius really was and that he hadn't betrayed Harry's parents, so Harry was happy to finally have a family member to turn to. Harry suffered, but was happy about it in the end.

I think the cracked cup is supposed to be a reference to Neville breaking his cup in the chapter

The reference is the cracked cup ! It's Neville. Trelawney had predicted that Neville would break a pink cup first and had then asked him to get a blue one because she was rather attached to the pink ones .

Same! My best friend got me this box for my birthday/Christmas present and I was like seriously? I guess I’m going to use the mug to hold pens or make-up brushes. I’m giving the coffee to my brother in law.

This is my 4th box since you convinced me I needed to subscribe and it’s my favorite! I love how this is a box for adult fans so we get things like coffee themes and flasks and I don’t see that anywhere else. Also makes it incredibly practical because they know most adults unsubscribe from things because they run out of room for random unusable trinkets and figurines.

The scoop is such a good idea. Love it!

This is one of the best boxes I have ever seen! So practical. I love stuff you can actual use!

There’s also kinda a reference to Professor Umbridge. The quote says “suffer” which she inflicts pain and suffering on Harry and his friends. Then the teacups look similar to the ones in her office.

The reference is definitely from the movie, I’m not sure if it’s also in the books, but it’s when Ron tries to interpret Harry’s tea leaves before Professor Trelawney grabs it and says “my dear you have....the grim” :)

Call me a simpleton, but hands down this is one of my favorite boxes so far! I love magical things that also have a practical use in Muggle everyday life, and this box is chock full of that stuff! Really considering getting one for myself! ^^ (Plus everything included is designed so beautifully and so well! The only thing I wasn't super excited about was the scoop thing, but it's not bad and definitely useful for keeping the coffee bag closed!)

I love that the items in this box are functional AND magical! However, that the mug is not microwave safe is a bummer. The iridescent finish, which is not particularly appealing to me, is not worth the loss of function. My coffee always gets cold before I finish it 😊

I THINK that the pin might be referencing to Neville? Like in POA (the book) at the beginning of their first Divination class, Trelawney predicts that Neville will need a new cup and a few minutes later he breaks his and needs to get a new one, so they might be referencing to that?

They put the value of the mug at $18. You can get licensed Harry Potter mugs for less then $18. Heck you can get a 4 pack of 4 different mugs at Walmart during the holidays for $25.

We Potterheads have to do this. #neverforgotten This video really makes me think, Harry Potter won't always be around forever. That's why we have to tell people about it for centuries. We have to continue the Harry Potter forever or else no one will remember it. We have to tell our kids, our kids will have to tell their kids, and so on.
