It's interesting that, like the Harry Potter books, the light-hearted chapter focusing on a Halloween party ends with a dark twist that progresses the story. It's also interesting about their talk about the "mad diety" that makes things random.

Oh my God. I've been enthralled with this from the very first chapter. It's been a roller coaster of sheer hilarity, slowly starting to become an actual story. I'm glad you made the choice here to craft it into something coherent, because you're really quite good at it. One of my favorite things is to watch people take random nonsense and turn it into something meaningful, so I am really into this. I very much enjoy this version of Harry Potter, where Hermione is dead and Ron and Harry's lives have gone into this depressive, dysfunctional spiral. Saying that the first chapter was a result of Harry's potions addition is brilliant, as is saying some of the madness in the story due to Yvette's illness. And Hildana Slain is my favorite OC. She just seems badass and her name actually sounds like something out of Harry Potter. Now I'm eager even more to see what she and Neville are up to, and what the hell is going on with Soma. What really makes me enjoy it though is your voice. Regardless of how absurd or serious the subject matter is, you'll always read it in the same way, somehow lending more legitimacy and ridiculousness to it at the same time. The voices you give to Neville and Mr. Painspiel are my favorites, because they just sound so appropriate for both characters. [Neville is just so sleezy and devious in this, and I love it.]

Thank you so much! I've been quite depressed lately and have struggled a bit with getting the episodes/chapters finished, but comments like this really help. I'm glad you're enjoying it so much, I really hope the ending is satisfying too.
