I wore this OUT when I was in high school. Memories! I became a jazz musician thanks in part to Harry and this DVD. Thank you!

I just love watching & listening to the music if Mr Harry Connick Jr. He’s one of a kind! He’s got a lot of himself so sincerely out to everyone. He’s a great gift to humankind! ❤

Fond memories of working on this show in Dallas in 1990: my intro to Texas Film Production and all the fine folks who work in that industry. Cheers to Great Performances and WNET. This was a terrifically fun production to be a part of. 😊

Adam and Jeff, yes.... I too owned the VHS. with the changes in technology I've lost track of it. As a young man I fell in Love with Roger Ingram's playing from this videotape. Thank you to Gretchen for making this available.

I remember watching this on VHS when I worked at Blockbuster Video (yes, that dates me) and loving the solo piece at 28:48. Great musician.

That was “Avalon” and quite possibly my very favorite Harry Connick Jr. solo piece ever. So glad to see it preserved here. 😊

Thanks for posting! Every couple years I would check to see if it was here. PBS used to play this heavily for their fundraisers, 30 years ago. Then it just disappeared.

Thank you for this! I had the VHS for years, then my wife had the great idea of tossing a bunch of our tapes with the thought that we would replace what we wanted with DVDs. I haven’t been able to watch it straight through in a long time. Other KZread videos show individual songs, but they’re disconnected and don’t include some of the banter in between. You’re a hero.
