Not one single job I have quit have still kept me in on things n still having whatever perks n benefits one might have had, not one single one!!! Now if someone retires after a lifetime of service, all was good before during n after… no, u are still gone, quit, finito!!!! They quit, end of story!!! And my kids are not still allowed any benefits of former jobs I had!!! They don’t still pay our insurance or anything!! Smdh!!! And quite frankly, how are any of these ppl in the line of succession when they don’t live in that country n kids are not being raised up in it to learn all the vastness there is to learn!!😳absolutely insane!!! This language of being pushed out, slipping away, bottom of Totem pole, whatever they want to call their headlines is insane, nope, no worries of any of that going on, they showed themselves the door, completely out, no question!!! And I understand Harry was told in detail what all it would mean prior to quitting n then still they were given a year to change their mind!!! Who gets those options in the real world?!?!?

Why are they worried? They’ve spent over two years attacking, criticising and dismissing the Queen and the monarchy, and disrespecting the UK and Commonwealth countries. They’ve demonstrated they don’t have the job skills required for the diplomatic and apolitical role and should just move on with the lives they said they wanted and which the family supported them to have. If the Princess of Wales can walk around with minimal security, and the MET police recently assess and decide that they didn’t need security, I’m sure they can manage without HRH titles for themselves and their children, and can pay for their own security and the perks they so desire.

Well, they said they felt “trapped” in the institution of monarchy, and that they “saved” one another from the Royal life by leaving. (Source: O interview). So, they chose to step down from Royal duties. (Oh, sorry, Harry, correction, you said you stepped AWAY from Royal duties). What part of “not getting the perks of a job you have left” do they not get? Maybe someone can explain this to them in simple terms. This is the guy who said on record to “quit” a job if it’s bad for your mental health. It really is very simple. Then you don’t get to keep the perks of working there. Smh.

@@m.h.6499 Not disagreeing with most of that, but Oprah trapped them into saying they saved each other. It wasn't their idea. And many wealthy families give money to their adult children that the children didn't earn. My father wasn't even wealthy but he paid me and my sister out of his business most of my adult life even though neither of us ever worked for him. "Family" businesses are different especially when the dad owns and runs it.

They want to live ordinary life, the king just fulfilled their wish. They want the royal titles, benefits and fame without doing anything. What jerks!

Walking away from the family was not their brightest move.

I can see where Harry is coming from and what his life's Schema entails. He's been brought up to think he's part of a family that is God's representatives on earth, and now he's realising that people think he's completely disposable. His whole world view is now effed up. Prince and Princess were always a major desire of the couple for their kids - prestige, branding, and on par with the Wales. Reports say they were relentlessly pushing this issue with the new king during the period of national mourning...

I don't think Harry's marriage is going very well now he has the children it's not that straight forward for him to just walk away. He looks terrible and does nothing but argue with Megan. HE was besotted by the person he felt listened to him and helped him conduct the mission to be heard but he failed to see that all.megan did was play on a vunerable person who is still effected by his mother's death. Megan knew she she had an easy target, and I have never believed its about love for Megan it's about money stardom power. Harry had been asked not to publish the book best thing he could do is pull out and start standing up to Megan. But if he does it will be the end of his marriage.

Meghan has desperately wanted The world to see her as another Princess Diana, but the more I see of them they mirror the Duke and Duchess of Windsor instead. It is my hope that King Charles stands strong, not allowing them back in as working Royals, the same way his mother had to stand strong against her favorite Uncle the Duke of Windsor, a former King when he too tried to weasel his way back into the Firm, a few years after Queen Elizabeth II acceded the throne. She told him he had the greatest chance given to him to serve his country and he decided against it and must live with his decision.

Please explain how they can be eased out after walking away and demanding release from duties...

Take a definitive stance and remove them from the Royal Family and let them figure their lives out. They only use their Royal connection for the financial gains, other then that they wipe their feet on the Royal Family.

I think it's horrible and selfish to demand for status during the mourning of the Queen's death. Imagine your 74 yo father going through emotional turmoil on the death of his mother and have to deal with this.

Being the narcissist she’s proven herself to be, and knowing how deeply Harry was loved, no doubt Meghan expected the Royals to pander to her allegations and make apologies for the sake of maintaining Harry’s position and their relationship with him. Such an act would have legitimized her abhorrent behavior and placed her in a position to manipulate even further in the future, ie blackmail for personal gain. The Queen and Royals didn’t bow so she took it further and attempted a public humiliation to to try to force their hands. In this fairytale, it was Harry who bit into the poison apple. Not all fairytales end in happily ever after. I don’t think even the seven dwarves can help them now.
