I love that portrait. It shows the man that matters, all the rest fades into the background. This artist is a genius. The rest fades to black, or red, a royal color, in this case. He did an incredible job on the face, it so looks like the King. It illustrates the many roles the King has held during his life, but he is still 'him.' Call him Prince Charles, call him the Prince of Wales, call him the Colonel in Chief or regiments, call him not your King. Call him as you like, but it shows the man himself, without any particular regalia. Eventually you just see the face. I think it is striking and well done.
