Only a minority of LOUD PROGRESSIVES are outraged. Most people are wholeheartedly supporting his speech and his right to speak his opinion.

With all respect, the Benedictines (Sisters or monks) that wish to distance themselves from the speech represent a greater scandal than anything the speaker said. Shame on them. Kudos to Butker!

With or without respect to the consecrated 'religious' men and women, they have NO IDEA of what the holy bond of Catholic Marriage means to the two people convenanted in such a bond. Those of you who are in such a Marriage know what I mean, and those who yearn for such a Marriage embrace the beautiful words of this man at this event. NOTHING compares to it. I argue it is a popular opinion as stated by Butker But the voice of the silent majority has remained quiet until now. Now they are speaking up for him.

Let's remember the context of this commencement speech: A devout Catholic speaking at an orthodox, tradition-oriented Catholic college. He wasn't saying that these views should be imposed by force on everyone, though you would think so, judging by their reactions. Frankly we should tell all the non-Catholic naysayers to butt out. It's none of their business what goes on at a Catholic college, unless laws are being broken!

Robert and Father, you two are BRILLIANT and so wonderful. Those who misinterpret this speaker don't know the fullness or the beauty of God’s plan for family life.

No one notices? You Dr. Moynihan and Father Murr are an inspiring influence on us, your viewers. You confirm our faith and encourage is to grow in faith by your amazing discussions and guests. Acts 1 tells us that the Christian world began with only 120 believers gathered to pray. Be encouraged by what came of that tiny group by Divine will, grace, and plan.

It hard to find work when your widowed and the majority of work experience you have is as a homemaker. Many employers look down on homemakers, and you don't pay into SS. Which means when you retire, you only get survivors benefits. My husband had to go onto SS at an early age because he was terminally ill. So I'm screwed!

Your situation is so difficult. I'm sure it brings you anxiety, which is a tool of the evil one as a way for him to bring doubt in your mind and heart of the Loving Care of The Father for His child. I pray God that you place your trust entirely in The One Who laid down His Life for you in all your trials - and continues the Sacrifice for you in Holy Mass and in all the offenses committed against Him every day.

This is an extremely important topic for the future of the Church. It is so multifaceted that it would take a 3-4 or more part series. One part mentioned was financial. I am older than Fr. Murr and I have lived to see a movement happening and it is happening because young men and women are recognizing the need to focus on raising healthy children in a stable environment. Covid unwittingly brought about an understanding that work could be done outside of the structure commerce has imposed. The Catholic Land Movement which is made up of primarily of young Traditional Catholic families is gaining momentum and will have great influence on the future of Holy Mother Church. Notice the big T here. These husbands and wives are embracing total deposit of the faith in which they live their daily lives 24/7

Those so called sisters do not currently teach at the school. They have a small representation on the board as a "honorary " position. They are woke sisters since the 1960s. I hope you can find their current photos and their statement online. It clearly tells you what they are all about.

Obviously, Chris H has no clue to how the inheritance tax is structured. He should do some research on the IRS site. The explanation is easy to understand.

To me, the heart of this question has to do with the fact that men are not always good, hard-working, family-loving, faithful men. When this happens, women revolt and need jobs, careers, freedom to act in the world, because we get fed up being loyal homemakers while the husbands are being playboys. If her husband is a good, faithful man,what woman would not find happiness in being a wife and mother? All this feminism stuff started with the sexual revolution when men were no longer faithful in their majority. I’ve personally experienced this.
