This song has been three years now and when the first time I hear this song I was wonder why the title is 'save me from myself'? Why the lyrics shows that Harris J seek help from Allah to save him from himself? I got wonder and wonder....then after three years(this year) I watching this music vid and hearing this song again....suddenly I cry....Now the lyrics make sense. It slap me hard. I've too far from Allah now. Sometimes when I was busy with my study, I forgot to pray. When I got good result, I'm forgot to thanks to Allah. I do what Allah told us not to. I always thought my friend and my family is a reason why I became this bitter, this sinful servant But I Forgot one thing... Just found out this song, and I'm crying. As a muslim, I really feel that we are loosing ourselves in this dunya, and being away from the deen. It's a very good reminder, inshaallah Allah (swt) is the most merciful may we be forgiven for we have wrong ourselves at some point in our life.

Let's be true to ourself. Sometimes, our faith decrease. Sometimes, we questions what is happening to our life. The amount this guy has grown! It’s amazing Alhamdulillah, as he gets older the more meaningful and powerful his songs get! This one is something else, it’s so relatable and everything he is saying is literally thoughts I have with myself everyday! It’s a constant battle with myself, which I’m fighting everyday. You can hear the pain in his voice and how genuine he really is, and I like how realistic it is, he’s clearly getting older which means he’s bound to get himself in more sinful situations! I just love this one, it really shows that you really can get through anything with Allah by yourside! I already know that tbh but sometimes it’s nice to be reminded! Personally, I don't know him... But after watching human, and now this... My heart is crying

I know there is another comment like this but this is what I feel about after hearing this song. 3 years ago i thought harris was just made this nasheed with the same intention with all the other nasheed, I remember this was released a long time after his latest nasheed that I don't remember anymore , back then I felt almost nothing after hearing this. But now listening back to it , I think harris wanted to share a message , that he is being captured by the shaytaan and he knew it was coming , the lyrics hit so differently now than before... but I am sure that harris is still a Muslim but he lost his connection with Allah AWJ , but hopefully he would go back to making nasheed. Inshallah i wish My brother Harris all of the luck..

Shadz Of course I do, music was invented by Shaytan, and it often leads to major sins, which is why we shouldn’t go near it. I suppose Harris J was the perfect example as to why. Still, many “nasheed artists” use instruments just like this one.

Then I searched it online and they said as long as it reminds u of Allah and the Deen then it’s permissible. But I’m not sure so someone confirm it for me please. JazakAllah

U are right. I just discovered I had fake friends. And I trusted her with my problem and secret. Idk if she will spill it out. Because I like someone which is normal. She pressured me to tell him and it ruin our friendship. And she wants me to do it again. I told her i like her to see if she will correct me or stay with me through the bad and good times. But she only stayed for the good times. Now she wants to leave during the bad times. She said she doesn't trust me again. She even said every one I'm friends with I always liked them. Which is not through. I pretended to be bad sometimes to see if she us a good friend clearly she is not. Now I'm thinking I'm i the bad one or is she the bad one. She has been saying negative things abt me.
