I stay at Harrah's Biloxi because they are the ones that give me free rooms. haha. I will say the two times I have stayed it was a very decent stay. The rooms are roomy.. they are a bit outdated but they are not nasty or anything like that. The staff is also very very kind.

Harrah's is currently what used to be Grand Casino Biloxi's north hotel tower The Bayview Hotel. After Katrina the state let the casinos move off the water and onto land. Harrah's bought it and put a temporary casino in that hotel then in 06 started a 1.1 billion dollar mega resort including a mall with a Macy's anchor store and a marina. The renderings looked quite breathtaking. It then lost it's investors in 08. It sat unfinished for years till it was torn down. Now its a grass feild. I don't like Harrah's and I still think it looks like a hospital on the outside. Interesting history but what a shame because it would have been truly spectacular.

That is excellent info! Thank you so much for sharing! Yea I wasn’t too crazy about it either. Beau Rivage and Scarlett pearl were visually my favorites. 💎😊

I actually stayed at Grand Casino on a golf trip a few months before Katrina hit...watched on TV as the moored casino moved onto shore...was pretty surreal that I had just spend quite a bit of time in that place....too bad they couldn't revive the original build site...but maybe better vibes for the locals.

@@lancelaney6253 After the storm the state changed the laws and let casinos build on land. In 06 Harrah's started a 1.1 billion dollar Margaritaville resort but with the 08 recession their investors pulled out. It was going to be something but now with their casino still in the old Bayview Hotel north of 90 they're nothing. That is unless you like a really small casino.

@JCVACCARO I'm sure it's been a journey to fix all the damage to the city...haven't been back since that yr....would love to come see how it's changed...I live on the west coast and have often thought of going back...had a great time there. I actually have 2 beach towels from Grand Casino still...lol...

Not a fan of Starbucks. Harrah's is nothing special. There was Kelly. Have never stayed at Biloxi. Have a Cesare's Card and a Hard Rock Card. May like to stay at IP which is a Boyd Group Hotel. Like Boyd Group Hotels. Still with you. Golden Nugget might be a good place to stay also. My wife liked Golden Nugget.

Thank you for sharing! It’s a cool town reminds me more of Laughlin Nevada. Relaxed and easy to get around. No parking fees! 👍
