I had a friend in college that played a harp just like this one. Me and my three roommates were all friends with her and her three roommates. Her harp used to just sit in her living room except when she would take it to campus for concerts. We used to beg her to play a concert for us in her living room. After months, she finally gave in and scheduled a Sunday afternoon living room concert. She sent out fancy, lacy invitations to everyone in the apartment building. Probably 20 or 30 people came. We all waited for her to come out of the back room to play, but, to our surprise, her three roomates each came out, one at a time, and played one or two pieces each. She had been giving them free lessons for months. After the recital, the harpist came out, thanked us for coming, and announced that the concert was over. My roommate shouted at her that if she didn't play the harp that he would pluck off all of its strings. She then played a long, beautiful piece in a classical style that lasted probably 15 minutes. We clapped our hands raw and all at raman noodles together before leaving.

It seems like she's doing magic by wiggling her fingers in the air and through some miracle music comes out. I can't even tell if she's touching the harp at all at times.

Sophia does not _play_ the harp; she _is_ the harp. What must it be like to have her consciousness? Simply watching her fingers plunges one into deep meditation. Sophia raises the bar for virtuosity far beyond what any musician on any instrument can ever hope to achieve. _Thank you for this breath-taking performance._

All the hair in my back stands. And tears too. How many times have I heard these toccata and fugue? how many times have I played them myself on the piano? and here again, a rendition that is so vivid, so majestically simple and true, so un-pretentious that I just need to... need to.... hear it again. Now. I don't know what happened in the brain of J.S. Bach when he composed this piece. Have he understood what he was doing. It almost looks like the piece was imposed on his brain from the outside complete, so perfect it is. Thank you Sophia Kiprskaya for this gift to humanity. Thank you again. Will cherish this rendition forever.

I agree her interpretation of the Toccata and Fugue is very special. She imbues the mathematical precision of the piece with wonderful moods without destroying it in the process. I think she makes it sound much easier than it is to accomplish.

I've never played the harp, but I've played the trumpet, piano, and guitar, and I know enough to know that this is absolutely incredible. The timing, the precision, the phrasing, she plays every part. It's truly remarkable.

WOW, you memorized all that and played it with such perfection. I didn't know a harp could do so many notes. What an accomplishment for the human race! You are amazing!

The woman is as gentle as an angel. The music is incredibly comforting to listen to.

The playing was so magical that it was up on KZread and has a positive and uplifting comments section 😄🙏

In the last couple of days I have witnessed through KZread, Toccata being played on the biggest pipe organ in the world in Germany it was Grand and impressive and a younger woman played it on the harp excellent performance she's coming up but you, Sophia, the way you play it's not only excellent it is beautiful

If I was listening to this concert in the Mariinsky Theater, I would be weeping for joy after the first 5 minutes!

I watched this full entire thing. This thing had me crying about 6-7 minutes in & I don't even know why. No words, no voices, just the unfathomable versatility of this musician & her best friend: The touch of the harp. From finger, to ear, to heart. This ... this is music.

The first 18 minutes is more divine than what a simple man like me deserves to hear. I don´t need to state anything about her extraordinary talent, this is quite evident. But her facial expressions combined with the subtle background sounds of her effort-driven breathing makes this entire performance indescribable intense, true and appealing. Truly otherworldly.

This was the first time listening, what I imagined a harp sound and what I'm hearing is heavenly!

what a beautiful inusual concert ! i knew something about Madame Renié, about her life and about what she composed but for me a concert with an harpist is something completely new and i liked it a lot......the transcriptions for harp are really great... the artist manage to produce incredible colours during especially the two first pieces, Toccata and Moldau. I was captivated.... beautiful the piece of Renié....this instrument is very rich in coulours...sometimes it sounds like a piano, sometimes like some sounds of the organ in the high range...incredible... celesta or something like this.... thanks, many thanks
