The only difference between Harold and the purple crayon and smurf is that Harold and the purple crayon has 2d animated feature scenes unlike smurf, Sony has learned there lesson

I remember reading the book in elementary school. I recognize Zachary Levi from Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and Tangled. Same for Alfred Molina from Spider-Man 2, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Ralph Breaks the Internet and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

I grew up reading these books as a child and after watching this trailer made me change my mind this looks like it could be a fun and great movie. Zachary Levi is one of my favorite actors so I'm excited to see this film

I'm super excited for this movie, i'm going to really enjoy it, but I still don't think this movie needed to have a villain/hero arc like every other movie ever. what makes Harold and the Purple Crayon so timeless and full of wonder is the fact that there is no danger in sight, just a fun journey that comes to an end. I still feel like i'm going to love this movie, just wish it was a simpler less complex movie.

Man Harold and the Purple Crayon had tons of potential for a 2D animated feature. Why did they have to go with the cliched live-action adaptation of a children's property where "Characters going into the Real World" again? It's been done to death! I'm going to stick with the HBO animated series from the 1990s. That show perfectly captured the bedtime story approach as the original book compared to this
