Ok I'll try to keep it short. First the member you pointed out first as being bigger than the others is MY bias Jeongyeon and yes she does not meet the idiotic Korean Beauty Standard, but she was, is and will always be beautiful to me but she's my bias because of her vocals, her deep register owns my soul. She had a neck injury that required surgery and had to take a year off to recover. If you know anything about back injuries you'll know that steroids are used to ease the pain, a side effect is weight gain. When she came back she was a full grown women and basically told the haters to stuff it and us ONCE's love her for it (that is the short version by the way). Next the one on the left is Jihyo the leader and her motor runs at 150 percent all the time. The two on the far right are indeed the rappers but actually the one on the end is actually the main rapper, but the call and response between the two is legendary. Just as a side note the one second from the left (next to Jihyo) is Momo she can also rap but is actually best known as one of the best dancer in all of Kpop. As you noticed our rappers actually have great singing voices as well. You had a slow start to warm up to Twice but I'll tell you a big secret you actually learned, that song that you couldn't read the name but fell in love with translates to Turtle and the last song with all the harmonies, called Candy are both Bsides and the real magic of Twice is their Bsides. Another side note is Candy was an all English song that is the fan song for English speaking ONCE's, the Korean fan song is called One in a Million and is actually part of their greeting, the Japanese fan song (and the best in my opinion) is Be as One. I have heard it so many times, "I don't like cute or girly songs" do yourself a favor watch the dance practices or a live concert of the song's pre 2019 you'll get a better feel of the song then watching the M/V. 2019 and on when they had all finally grown up (two were 16, one was 17 at debut) everything changes and you will enjoy the M/V's and songs much more, just a suggestion but as I said I've heard it so often and then it's "I love Twice. OT9 forever (TIMELESS).

10:13 That's Jeongyeon, she's one of the lead vocalists (her and Nayeon). If I'm not mistaking, a lil time ago she had a neck injury, an hernia surgery and some problems with anxiety that caused her weight gain. Well, some kpop fans don't "accept" too well that weight gain and some just don't care, I'm not sure about how she fells with the gain cause she doesn't really talk about it, but it doesn't seem a problem to her as she does a lot of exercise/sports and seems to maintain that "big look".

About your question at 10:10, that's Jeongyeon. She used to be as skinny as everyone else but the combination of a physical injury and anxiety (mostly the treatment she had to take for them, I think?) caused her weight gain. It's not some special case where they were intentionally trying to defy cultural expectations or make a statement or anything. It's actually pretty obvious that if the company had it their way, they would want her to be skinny again (in fact, if you look back at your "I Got You" MV reaction, you can see that they put a shawl over head to hide the visibility of her weight). Some have been supportive while others unfortunately have not. As for her demeanor in this, I don't think she's uncomfortable-- she's just not the cheerful upbeat type-- more of a tomboy. Also one of the three best vocalists with Nayeon and Jihyo.

And it seemed to work-- you never see any new reactors to the group commenting on her weight in that video, but do in others around this period. At best a two birds with one stone thing, IMO.

I disagree if they were really trying to hide her weight they wouldn't have been given her so much screen time in the last couple of songs also in one of the songs she was one of the main focuses if they were really trying to hide her weight they wouldn't have done that

​@@hnt8461 I'm not married to the idea that it has to be some grand conspiracy top down executive decision or anything. A lot of how much focus they have to get is based on how many lines they have in the song, and the people in charge of that are different from the people in charge of the visual side of music videos (might not be the same for each MV, either). It being at least an independent decision by the latter would not surprise me (there's some precedent/reputation for the fashion side of this industry specifically being particularly weight-critical on their own accord). I'd just be surprised if it was a totally innocent coincidence. But you're free to disagree. I have no interest in really trying to argue about it to convince people-- It's just meant to be food for thought, really.

You've heard A LOT of their songs without knowing it. You cannot be in the Kpop circle without knowing most of their title tracks whether you like them or not. I'll bet you've heard A LOT more Twice songs without even knowing it. Their b-sides are among my favorite Twice songs.

Their debut started with a concept much more similar to ITZY's with "Like-Ooh-Ah". But when "Cheer Up" blew up, JYP rode the bubblegum Pop concept like crazy. Mature TWICE began in 2019 with "Fancy" ("Breakthrough" in JP) and the rest as they say, is history. The transition is simply growing up with TWICE - the girls grew up, Onces grew up, it's just natural growth.

I became a Twice fan about 4 years ago with Twice's album Eyes Wide Open. Over time, Twice took over my main playlist.. and I can explain how colorful and diverse group Twice is as follows; My main playlist has consisted only of Twice songs for a few years, and only 1 song in this video has been in my main playlist for a short time. If you really want to know Twice (in my opinion), you should listen to their full albums "FORMULA OF LOVE" and "EYES WIDE OPEN". I think their 3rd full album, Formula of Love, is the ideal place to start. TMI; It is the 2nd highest rated kpop album on Metacritic. Ranked 1st among women.

You could also go and watch their youtube series Time To Twice, each season has a different setup. Jihyo was the #1 from the left, (ult bias for a reason) other than her amazing vocals she's also known as an outstanding performer Jeongyeon is the girl with the white jacket whose tone you loved , she's had few health and personal issues that were very hard on her for several years but she's recovering really well. Dahyun also called Dubu (Tofu) is the rapper you were talking about and the whole looking into the camera is such a Dubu thing, it's almost uncanny how she always finds the camera.

Likey is title track for album TWICETAGRAM and Turtle is a bside from that album.. if this doesn’t motivate you to understand the title tracks aren’t the best from twice albums im not sure what else will convince you 😄😄because its very common understanding that twice albums aren’t something to easily brush aside, you should listen during personal time and see which you like best. Well, 2016 ish era = 15-18 year old girls, so cutesy was very appropriate. As I'm sure other commenters will point out, after 200+ songs, there's plenty of evidence to the maturity in the songs/ lyrics, etc. Moonlight Sunrise, the subunit MiSaMo, "Do Not Touch", and many more are very mature, indeed. I'd say you dive into their more recent catalog (DEFINITELY not all bubble gum pop lo, rest assured).~

10:54 that's Jeongyeon, trust me she's comfortable, Mina on the other hand (the girl beside her) is actually the shiest and probably looks the most uncomfortable out of them because she's a major introvert 😅 yes, Jeongyeon is on the bogger side, this is due to intense medication she went through due to her neck injury, the company doesn't force her to lose weight after this though

It's hard not to know Twice if you listen to kpop. Their songs are everywhere. If you are not very interesting in Girly Cute Concept (like me), it is better to go backward , starting from their recent releases to beginning. Another way get to know to a group is through their live concerts. But, it is not easy to react because of copyright, however, I still see many reactors reacting to their live concerts.

She does move her lips. However her jaws remain kinda closed. I’ve noticed that when she speaks, her teeth barely move, i mean they are very clenched together.

There is another reactor is a singing coach who also noticed it! and said its habit people develop and recommended Mina should open up more but also acknowledges its a style of her singing to achieve the softer tone she usually has when singing. Because you notice sana opens up a lot more but retains the very sweet tone she has. If you pay closer attention twice has a really big cast of different voices right?
