Harmonia Alcorani: European Gleams of Islam - Anthem of the Prophet ﷺ

Музыка

This is a reimagined version of the Anthem of the Prophet ﷺ composed by the British-Muslim group, Harmonia Alcorani. The edit is meant to capture the majesty that the European Gregorian tradition captures in order to profess and convey the majesty of God and the sacred.
Please consider donating to Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad's new Cambridge Mosque as well as to the musical group: www.cambridgemosqueismoving

Many European historians hold that knighthood (Futuwwa) was something that had been transferred to Europe through Muslims and see it as an Arabs’ contribution to European culture.

Surprised to see so many Muslims assume this is unislamic just because the recitation is culturally different from Arabic style, it does not have instruments nor any problematic statements, and is a nasheed, what's wrong in it? Too many people conflate Islam with Arabic culture.

As a fellow Arab let me tell you that you are falling for the erroneous notion that Islam can be detached from its Arabian origin. This is not something that ever lead to anything good when it was adopted. The earliest manifestations of Persian nationalism paved the way for the Safawis’ defacement of what was once a great country and a great people who made innumerable contributions to Islam.

For my Arabic brothers who may perceive this as un-Islamic, I encourage them to engage in self-critical analysis to discern between habits or statements rooted in Islamic teachings versus those stemming from Arab culture. It's essential to differentiate between culture and religion.

Who claims this to be part of Islam? It's obviously a cultural thing. Just because it isn't all in Arabic and not in the style you're used to doesn't make it bad. If someone happens to prefer nasheed like this what would be wrong with that? Don't scare people away from Islam like this. Especially some other people saying it sounds evil, is just an unnecessary insult. But like someone else in the comments already pointed out if you think like that you probably have been influenced by Hollywood much more than you realize...

When that was not the reason for their independence, they were not happy with their rulers being Arab, and they had been suppressed from speaking their language and had killed Abu Muslim a Persian from Khorasan. The Iranians love calling Arabs back stabers.

"Pray on" is an incorrect translation and a blasphemous one as well. What صلى على means is for God to praise him amongst the highest and most eminent of the angels i.e. الثناء عليه في الملأ الأعلى. And so the correct translation would be something like "Exalt, my Lord, the Prophet" or "Glorify, my Lord, the Prophet".

@@venigos after a little research, Mawlana, also spelled Maulana, is used specifically for leaders who possess extensive religious knowledge and status due to such knowledge. So you were correct, they misinterpreted the translation and wrote the wrong English; it should read, "Our Leader," or ,"Our Scholar,".

The song's English lyrics are in a sort of archaic English, master until fairly recently (early-mid twentieth century) was another word for a teacher but also implied authority. It survives in the word headmaster for what Americans would know as school principal

Knew negative shit was coming, unless you were from the Prophets time… many cultural traditions have effected the deen, positive and negative. Is it Haram to sing songs in a different manner than of Arab culture? Swear Muslims focus on the wrong ish at times… how about y’all ditch foolish Nationalism and come under one Ummah Flag… Or on second thought just bicker about choirs of certain cultures… and if it’s sunnah to stand with hands down or on the chest lol

This gave me the feel of ‘mystery’ of light of Muhammad (Ahmad) who manifested in Jesus as Christ. I passionately wait for native European expression of Islam. O Europeans! Be not afraid with Arabic language and being ‘imperialized’ by Arabic language. Be like your Indo-European brothers, the Persians, for the Persians embraced it, while they kept (even more) flourishing. Arabic language is not even native tongue of Ishmaelites. It was language of Jurhumites the descendant of Qahtan or Joktan, who in Pseudo-Philo was elected by Eber as the prince of the Sem nation. Islam magically preserves the tradition of two sons of Eber peace be upon him, with blood of Peleg and tongue of Joktan.
