One bad shot the artillery and you go from most kills on the defense to the one who almost blew it…happy I was at least able to disappoint everyone with taking out the stone giant :) thanks to umad for showing this one! It was a fun battle to be a part of and didn’t know it was sent in

@@umadcommanderoh I totally wear the fact it was a terrible shot selection, but I was trying to setup where our infantry would be on the sides to clear up the shot angles. They just naturally sucked in to the middle after a bit and I microed too much on ered luin’s choke

For a moment when I saw the stone giant I was thinking his gonna save the day for the good factions but I goes wrong

Was a 5v3 here with DA sabotaging the attackers LOLOL

Yes seen this map before Umad , you did one on it.

A well-earned Defender victory, but speaks nearly nearly foiled it for them (I do love how quickly the attackers took advantage of it though, so well played!) 😅That said the attackers did not have it easy with this attack, was it a comp position regarding DA going with a heavy cav build and not its traditional heavy inf build. I don't know, but what I do know from my own experience of playing MTW2 is the cav (when there is lots of) is a bloody nightmare to micro and buggy af.

Stone giant reminds me of the volcanic stone giant from the movie the clash of the titans when a human son of zeus try to put the end of him hhhhh 🤣🤣

I think the stone giant should be the most tanky unit in the game it literally is a mountain! So I agree, though I don't believe it should be the strongest unit in terms of stats - just the most tankyy with the most HP and amour. Look at it like a single entity barrow W unit and it would fit the dwarves' style of being defensive and outlasting units rather than insane amounts of damage.

The newest public version is on ModDB (0.97.1) The matches Umad has been uploading are played on the reforged test patch, which if im correct doesn’t have a release date.

Ngl was a 5 vs 3 with dol Amroth helping the defenders, especially by watching mirkwood get rear charged and all the cav sitting there

stone giant needs to be wayyyy more tankier it's a literal walking mountain and even javs should stuggle in bringing it down

It's still an elephant AT it's core, even with absolut maximum stats it will go down vs ap units, unless i make them more numerous they will be targetted and bé primary targets.

​@@LumantrixAwful suggestion, you should be able to counter them effectively not make such a dumb unit that you don't have to think about how you use it and can just send it against anything. Stone giant should be less powerful than Nazgul.

Battle is fine. For some reason it feels as if defenders won from the start. Also the stone giant was a waste.

Good game overall but DA player (ties) shouldnt get all the blame he just played as u would with DA as his was the hardest to att in my opinion. His rangers got wrecked by my rangers hiding in the trees and on a ledge near synns army which also prevents him using cav and high tier inf his cav did get killed by the rangers and knights damged by axe throws but overall he is a really good player who had one bad game.

I get that but since he already had a tiny army why committed at all? Then why not wait and let his teammates do the pushing and his range units and calvary support them as reinforcements?

Just dont be too hard on yourself everyone makes a blunder heck look what did the goblin guy do with his artillery and plus the map was really hard on attackers so remember its only a mistake if you refuse to correct it

Dol Amroth was the best the player the defenders had. Wow

I have to say the stone giant was massive disappointment considering how bad ass it looked. I know it is a working progress (or I hope) but been wanting the "good" guys to have special unit for a long time. Good factions are a little underwhelming IMO but what do I know. Not a pro, just a fan.

the stone giant is pretty good from the replays ive seen it in, its just that the replay that got posted was on where it did bad ( its a bit like the muma kill, it can be a hit or miss).

This is no thunder storm it is a thunder battle! Giants! Stone Giants! lol you’re right I won’t approve of a evil defender victory. The stone giant will most likely do better in future replays (just like our friendly neighborhood mumakill have) I honestly expected it to die instantly bc of opposing javs. I expected so much more from DA but bro just got outplayed by a superior player and had too much cav to micro (still got a ton of kills though) I think the attackers should’ve switched up which armies they were facing might not have changed anything seeing as the shift was due to a artillery malfunction (goblins at their finest XD could probably blame that one on some hobbit mischief) Oh well you’ll get em next time good factions

The reason for me not being able to move my inf/cav up at the start is because hidden had high dmg archers hidden there that ambushed my rangers and prevented me from getting close to synn, with any elite inf or cav.

@@kirishimaredriot7264 my archers still used all of their ammo and they would’ve been reduced in number either way by hiddens archers, whatever I did. The cav would’ve been a misplay with other factions, the problem is that DA doesn’t have any good infantry to counter Mordor so you’re basically forced to try something with a numerous cav force. So my main mistake was attacking that side too early and taking dol Amroth as a faction. I knew beforehand however that picking DA was going to be a mistake, but this was a casual game, so I thought, why not?:).

Have to say it u got out played😮 but my rangers had really good angle and were the MVPs on that side and my axe throws. Not to mention I had 7 units on his side which made it even harder

Dol Amroth was attackers MVP. Even when down to 3 units the Cav was out of position
