Harley Davidson WLC time-lapse restoration
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
How to restore your Harley - the bible we use: amzn.to/30xSt1y
We had located this Harley Davidson WLC in Europe - it was barely running and whoever had tried to restore or maintain it had done a pretty poor job. Nearly every part and component was incorrect and only seemed to get worse the more we took it to pieces. However as you will see, with our depth of knowledge and expertise we were able to restore and refurbish the bike and rebuild the engine and gearbox back to the highest standard.
We had already sold the bike before we commenced the restoration, so when it was finished we then dressed it as per our clients requirements.
We chose this restoration as our first time-lapse project as we knew that the time to complete the job was the shortest. The filming took place over the period of about 1 month in the Autumn of 2013 at our workshop in West Sussex.

why wasn't the insides of the fenders painted? That's all I could think of after I saw that...I know it was primered, but how hard would it have been to completely cover all the metal with paint?

i have one of these bikes. it is leaking oil. How much does it cost for a restoration
I was restoring a late 1942 WLC I was doing it to 100% correct I was an expert on the canadian army Wlcs I see many things wrong on this Wlc The fenders , they never had a gun on the 42 WLC ,Only the 43 had the square. Oil , I paid $ 800 for my short round filter and never seen another one ,the night lights are wrong It was worth from60 to 90 000 .Then someone torched. The garage that it was in that we were Finishing it up in I never got anything for it .I was lucky to save all the Canadian army things that was to go on it .and the serial number is stamped on the frame
very good

@@theworkshopuk Still watching. Fantastic! If you ever get the notion, it would be great to see a video of a complete transmission overhaul of the WL 3 speed transmission. There are probably still a lot of original parts available at the swap meets that someone could use in a rebuild. As you know, the ball bearings are one of the most challenging parts of the rebuild. Thanks, Steve

Truly excellent job. Properly prepared, these bikes were lovely to ride every day, & very reliable, especially if the engine sprocket were swapped for a bigger one for road use, & the fixed jet replaced with an adjustable jet for better fuel economy. But strictly speaking, 'C' = civilian, & 'A' = army. Shouldn't this be a WLA?

Deverian hacerlas nuevas son capos
The WLC was a Canada order for the WLA the major difference was the WLC was fitted with big twin front fork..
Mantap !!
Love to know how you pull the clutch in and operate the throttle on the same side ? The WLC needs the clutch on the left, throttle on right Needs to do his homework
that was lot of work and parts .

I use little sandwhich bags, small plastic contains, boxes, tape, etc. Its not hard, just tedious. Label everything and take pictures so you can refer back to them incase you forget. I like to take a picture of where a screw or bold goes, give it a name like "CS07" and then put it in a samdwhich bag and write that code onto the bag. Then I just thrownit in a box with many other bags like that and its all good
