Harley Davidson Street 750 : Review : PowerDrift

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We review the new Harley Street 750. The 6th of the family, built for streets, but a potent tool otherwise as well.

Just reading all the comments here, I find it interesting some of the stuff you guys say about the Street 750. You guys need to pay closer attention to what is being said in this video. From the American point of view the Street 750 in stock form was built to be "thrashed" on rough streets buy riders that do not have huge sums of money in their pockets. The main target for this Harley was the "developing" countries. Its a Harley that you can beat-up. Its not a show-winning, trailer-queen. Anything you don't like about the Street 750 can be addressed in the aftermarket or HD accessory catalog. The Street750 just is what it is... my advice to the Indian buyer is this. If you want it, try to get it at the best price possible and buy it from a good dealer with a good reputation for service. Also, buy your own tools so you can address little things that happen on your own without being dependent on a dealership to do little shit like changing clutch cables and brake pads and that little shit. Real riders do that shit on their own.

There are two types of review out there, one which are done by some people who can read the manuals(sometimes they even copy the things:P) and some are made by the people who can give any batman kinda movie a hard time in whole audio, video and editing package, Though missed Sagar for the review a nice effort by Satyen and most important welcome back Ten Hut..............Thanx for a great review

1st - your video editing team is crazy. The teams is as good as red bull's video editing team. Good work team. 2nd - the bike is superb yet cheap good work by harley team as well but i think they forgot to add A.B.S to that beauty. 3rd - i wont praise the host any more because he is as always excellent.

Once again a remarkable review from piwerdrift. I always prefer your review above than Autocar and Overdrive. For this video I have 2 suggestions or rather drawbacks. 1-The music. I know this bike is for the youth and u wanted a house music in the background but after some time it was annoying and i could barely hear you talking. 2- you should have made us hear the potato sound from the exhaust weather it justifies the harley standards or they have compromised on that to cut cost. Cheers.

You read my mind, Kalpen! The exact 2 points which I wanted to mention. Review is great as ever, but the music is something which needs a bit of a change for each video and it's getting monotonous. Also, it needs to be lowered a bit when the presenters were talking.

yeah the 883 is very timid. The 1200 feels a lot stronger and in stock form the 1200 still isn't all that strong.I have a feeling that this 750, will eventually be punched out to 1000cc and put out a lot of horsepower in other editions... Streetfighters and café racer versions.. no way is Harley going to let that new engine go to waste..

One thing people need to remember with this line is that nothing is ever perfect when it's launched. After about 3 years of public feedback I'm sure it'll be almost a completely different bike (for the better). As it sits now, yeah it has its quirks, but for the price (especially used) it serves its perpous very well. Another thing is I feel like rather than the bike being worse than the competition I think people have just come to expect above and beyond quality from the Harley name. Which is something to be proud of

just curious about a non motorcycle question. I like watching alot of reviews from India, and I notice alot of videos are 50 fps instead of 60, is there a reason, or just a different format. just wondered since where I am I just don't see 50 fps usually, just 60 or 30

Excellent review guys.Great Job.The one thing I am not happy about in this bike is,this baby doesn't not have a single pin crankshaft and hence does not have the Famous ,off beat,'Potato Potato' Harley sound.I guess that has something to do with the design of the revolution engine, since the V rod doesnt have the traditional Harley sound.

How many parts do you think a buyer should switch to aftermarket ones on buying this? Exhaust for one, and?

maybe foot peg brackets if you want to sacrifice the strength of the factory ones... other than that I looked ok when I looked at it.. maybe the covers on the hand controls.. just depends on what you want. If you want a "trailer queen" this isn't the bike for you.. its just a "street blaster"

Just came across your channel and you guys have a new subscriber :) Anyways, those were exactly the points for which I didn't go for the Street. Was left disappointed with the brakes and the horrible plastics . Even the paint job was meagre compared to other Harleys. Spending on a second hand Iron seemed more feasible on a tight budget

Gee! Thank you! Remember to check our newer videos as well! The Street is nicer engine for our conditions, may we suggest getting that and customising it up for the price difference ;)

I agree with Power Drift. I grew up with Harley... all my friends have them and I have two Buell XB's that were racing versions of the Sportster. I know all these bikes fairly well. The Iron is an awesome little ride but it was more intended to live on American streets than on Indian streets. The way the Street 750 (we call it the Wee-Rod) is set up, its frame geometry and gearing, you could ride that 750 faster than you could the Iron on Indian roads on the average. You are also only seeing the first generation of Wee-Rod, over time a lot of good stuff for that bike is going to come out. Big-Bore Kits for more power, different tanks and seats, wheels and brakes.. ect ect. Harley wanted to sell a bike with a low buy-in price that you could modify over time to fit each rider. Given the choice between a Wee-Rod or a Iron and I had to ride in India I would take the Street 750 and modify it. You can make a sweet custom out of a Wee-Rod.

continental gt or the street 750? bear in mind that i am a new rider haven't really ridden one but looking to get into it im new to this, i have booked the street 750 already. i am about 5'5"-5'6" also. im kinda torn between these two i saw the street 750 in person and it looks better in person(Guess its not very photogenic) will have to get the screaming eagle. so which would be better given the road conditions and that im a n00b will pretty much be learning to ride on one of these so your opinions are welcome as long as there is no hate. *****
