Our ’82-’03 Sportster Hardtail Kit is 100% made in Charlotte, NC and completely tig welded from top to bottom.
The looped back end is a nod to the motorshop frames from the ’60s and ’70s. Coupled with 1” diameter tubing, this kit enables you to bring classic big twin chopper style to your Evo Sportster.
We developed this kit for the home builder and designed it to accommodate stock components such as wheels, axles and brakes. With a goal to stay as close to OEM specs as possible, we made the frame with 1.5” stretch to allow room for fender clearance, seat fitment and an oil tank.

I just finished a TC Bros hardtail and I gotta say I wish this kit was out when I started the project. That brake mount is trick.

How much clearance do you have between the rear cylinder head and the frame? It seems that there isn't enough clearance to remove the valve cover with the motor still bolted into the frame.

It's the same amount of clearance as the stock frame, so we'd follow the recommended steps in the manual.

@@PrismSupply I ask because the clearance is strictly a matter of the position of rear engine mounting plate which is determined by the manufacturer and is not dependent on anything the owner does. So far various examples of two other weld on options that I've personally inspected lack the amount of clearance needed, they generally have about 2mm clearance whereas the stock frame has approx 3/8" (10mm). If you can show that the valve cover can still be removed or at the very least show the measured clearance, then I can recommend your weld-on hardtail with a clear conscience.
