If your master cylinder body has the common white, dusty oxidation you can degrease it with solvent (acetone is cheap, relatively chemically safe but flammable, and is used to clean before TiG welding so I use that) then soak in undiluted vinegar for a few minutes (more if your corrosion is nasty). Note to viewers: KZread videos are great training aids but NOT a substitute for the FACTORY (not Haynes/Clymer/Chilton etc) service manual and factory parts catalog. If you own a Harley I and other mechanics strongly recommend owning those books. Even if you don't do your own wrenching the education is worth it. For later models online "microfiche" (so called because they used to be on fiche) pages like Ronnie's or Surdyke have the parts breakdown online. You want those exploded views because they supplement the service manual and you can order parts online by searching the number. This includes searching the many Harley suppliers on Ebay. You can copy parts pages for reference by taking a screenshot or using the Windows snipping tool.

At 0:37s, what was that part number? It sounded like 42382-878. Who makes it? Drag Specialties or Harley-Davidson?

I found it easier to remove floorboard then remove brake pedal & cylinder as a unit. Also used zip ties to compress cylinder to put snap ring back in.

My reservoir body is plastic, can't seem to tap innards out, stuck (20 years old), can't get too violent either or body gets smashed. May pour hot / boiling water over it to get the plastic to expand. (1997 Dyna1340).

The body bore isn't a running surface. That is inside the replaceable cartridge. Slick design really, since your body isn't ruined by a pitted bore.

Passing info and experience is not necessary to be done only to sons or daughter, I've seen mens with the garage full of bikes or sports car and nobody in the family interested on it.Better share to everybody bro.
