Great video. Dealers in my area try and never remove windshields so to get proper instructions is difficult. Think it's easy. Give it a try. Everything has a place including the spring clips. Thanks for this KZread.

The several comments about the “spring clips” are all wrong, they’re not clips, they’re not there to hold anything on, they’re just something to hold onto when you remove the windshield

Does the windshield sit on the grommet or does it sit next to the grommet

He didn't mention the two spring clips. My windshield fits in a groove and the clips does not "catch" on to anything I see or feel? The answer must be specific like in baby steps please. Should be easy but the clips just won't fit on.

The two spring clips do absolutely nothing. I was baffled with mine and still am. You can get a reproduction windshield with brackets and spring clips on ebay but the spring clips are upside down. Still baffled. Also baffled about why Harley Davidson doesn't mind charging large amounts of money for their bikes and then allows them to leave the factory with clunking 6 speed transmissions and weak compensator sprockets and clattering rocker arms. I have 4 of them and can't help but wonder why.

So... What do you do with those two spring clips. Don't see anywhere thy attach and you didn't mention them although I see they are on the windshield.

They don't work well at all. I have a new windshield and the only way they work is disassembly of the supports and then reassembly. In other words it works like shit. Once you put it together it stays together. This ain't a showroom bike.

I know how to attach the file he'd windshield but I need to know how to put the hardware on to complete the application.

Use Harley kit 58221-04. Simple instructions are included.

You kinda didn't even show the levers at the top that makes it all work.
