I take it that Harley Benton 15 tube is the euro version and Monoprice Stage Right 15 tube is the USA version. Am I right? I just ordered a Monoprice Stage Right 15 tube.

honestly I'd just use it as a travel amp, since it weighs half as much as my main amp.

I just tried the 5 watt version. And it is really good. Nice, warm sound. I could not hear it the same way on youtube, but in real it is good without doubt. A complete opposite when I tried full expectations a Katana in a shop, I was dissapointed. I like this tube amp feel a lot more .

Sounds great at low to mid gain! I bet it would sound really great with a tube screamer

Please help me! Does it cut through drums in a 3 piece band? In a rehearsal, without PA?

For the life of me i cannot figure out what the tone control does on mine ! V-1A tube is the first gain stage and V-1B is the second gain stage and V-2 is a guess of EQ gain recovery or send & return FX loop i am not sure !

I find the Celestion Seventy 80 in this amp way more acceptable than I did in my previous Marshall DSL40 and DSL20.. it's not near that harsh in the high gain department and the cleans are pretty good. I think this amp favors a Strat but with an external eq pedal one might find balance with humbuckers as well.

I hate the 70/80 in my Laney VC 30 amp as it is a bright amp and whew its to much highs ! In my SR tube15 it sounds good !

I changed Celestion Seventy 80 to Celestion G12M Greenback (25W) and it was great!

A One amp Must Have for any guitarist you like 2thick sounds🤣🤣 low entry?!?

How does it sound when you overdrive the power section, by turning master volume all the way up?

@Leandro Bremer is it the same amp? Amazon are incredibly scummy, they'll look at the products that sell the most, then make a blatant rip off of that product for their amazon basics line or whatever, then _remove_ the original sellers from the website, banning them from selling on there, while amazon continue to make their rip offs (that are always compromised in quality compared to the original company's product) and make money off of their idea. These aren't big companies they're ripping off, they're small start up companies with only a handful of employees, trying to make an honest living, and they could never afford the heads of litigation required to beat amazon in court, amazon have infinite money and can juet keep gradually extending the court case till it's been 5 or 10 years and the tiny company have run out of money and have to concede or accept a settlement So yeah with that track record, I don't for one second trust amazon if they're selling "the same" product. Cos most of the time it's not the same product

@@duffman18 No, it's literally the same amp. Monoprice or Stage Right/Harley Benton bought the rights to the Laney Cub 15 circuit and repackaged it in the cheapest way they could.

The tubes are not EL34 but EL84...

Hard to beat if you want a cheap tube combo. Sounds even better with a speaker upgrade 👍

@Leandro Bremer I’ve tried vintage 30 and it was great but the amp got really heavy. Now I have a Greenback. I will try more. But the stock speaker is not bad. Look up Budda Guedes demo with a new speaker here on KZread. A Warehouse ET-65 I think.

@Leandro Bremer Yes. But Greenbacks are a bit dark as well. If you want brighter, more Fender-like tone, I suspect a Jensen would be nice. The Greenback breaks up very nice but at low volume there is a bit of blanket over the sound. I had Tube15 connected to an external cabinet with a 12 inch alnico. That was really good. Sounded clear and Vox-like.

Celestion Ruby or Blue would be my choice. Depending on the pickups I would predominantly use with this amp.

How well does it accept distortion pedals?

Sorry but for me the check between 15/1 W seems without difference!

Which is good as the tone seems unaffected, but yes it's still pretty loud at one amp!

Looks and sounds like the Monoprice amps.

Probably because it is. My guess is it's the same factory, and the only difference is the branding. Otherwise, same circuit, same features, same tolex, same speaker, it's the same thing as the Monoprice Stage Right.

I'm pretty sure this 15 watt amp uses two EL84 power tubes and not two EL34 power tubes as this reviewer thinks. How could he get that so wrong? The reviewer is not too smart. I have the Monoprice Stageright version which is well known to be the exact same amp and it is using EL84 power tubes. Changing to EL34 power tubes would make it a completely redesigned amp. Different transformers, different circuit board, different sockets. Please correct your huge mistake "Guitar Bonedo"! Do you really want to be known as the "idiot" reviewer on You Tube? All they did was to glue a "Harley Benton" name plate onto the grill cloth, that's the only difference.
