Hi Steve, i have just bought one of these little gems and, am so pleased with it. It played well , out of the box but, the term was very heavy. I took the usually drastic step of removing a spring, expecting trouble but, a retune and, it is playing so well. I would recommend this guitar to anyone on a budget and even those that just want to try a change from their upmarket Strat.

Steve, since your review on this guitar I have been doing some research on them, and I haven't heard a bad word about them, even from well seasoned guitarist, it just goes to show you know what your talking about, great review. Many thanks.

Good comparison Steve - I reckon they would both look better with parchment pick guards the bright white is too white especially with the aged pickups and knobs on the first one. Purely a visual thing - I changed the pick guards and plastic bits on both of mine to parchment and they look a lot better. Cheers Phil

Thanks Phil im toying with the ideas on each on at the moment. Will have to see. I certainly am not keen on the aged parts on the revelation they just look too out of place for my liking.

Hi steve I bought one of these and was nothing but problems with mine the frets where awfull the saddles where sticking when trying to intonation on it had to have a fret level and crown but the worst problem I had was after 13 months neck was scrap badly twisted and had to replace so wouldant recomend for it all the tea in china so ended up costing me about £400 pounds so wasn't so cheap after all the only thing that impressed me was the pick ups thought they where good and sounded ok

Hi Steve sorry to hear that. I didn't have mine for too long to be honest. Both guitars just didn't really compare to the Squier Classic Vibe range so i sold them both on. Sorry to hear you had so many problems though

@@SteveReynoldsGuitarist thanks steve sorted it in the end I bought a strat bullet and used the neck off that basically just kept the body and pickups couse they dont sound to bad but like you the squire vibe series look really good with the gold hardware so am go give one of them ago when a can play a bit better

Great video, shame that the guitar was damaged, i would have sent it back, there should be no damage on a new guitar regardless of it's price.

Ive got a ST-62 3tone sunburst with the tortoise pick guard, killer strat for €120,next one will be a Fender though, easier to mod,but mainly for 2nd hand value And agree,Classic vibe is a killer Squier, even matching mexi strats

Hello Steve , and thanks for the review, I was looking to buy this model it seem to me a well built, and what attracted me is the soft v neck, which I played on couple of tiles and I really like, my question to is, is this to any close to tele baja, or any start with soft v maple?. Also does the finish on this neck feel sticky , what you think all in all after few months playing time? Cheers

  • @SteveReynoldsGuitarist

Hi, nice to hear from you. The neck is a very shallow C shape i think, that is certainly what it feels like. It has hardly any lacquer etc on it so it is very smooth and doesnt get sticky like a more vintage strat would. It is a great guitar and with a proper setup it is well above its price range. Hope this helps Thanks Regards Steve

sorry Steve i didn't understand the meaning of shallow c neck, do you mean it is thick like fat neck ?1 inch thickness? also is it comfy to play chords like Jimi Hendrix style and SRV?

Is that a fair fight, though? The Classic Vibe is roughly twice the price of the other two.

Hi Nick no possibly not although when i brought my classic vibe it was about £225! Prices have gone up a lot recently but the guitars arent too different built in china, same style guitars etc.
