Even the candy cane the tail of it extends right off at the end of the violin bow to keep your eye going. I could just keep looking and looking at it

Can you please suggest some intermediate level pieces sanato/concertino/concerto/caprice that use 1st 3rd position and 5th position. Can you also tell me what is the difference between concertino and caprice and sanato etc. It was more than 30 years ago when I did a grade 5 music theory exam. Don't ask me to remember all that now. I know the basics of music theory like key signatures and the relative minor key signatures.

I'm currently working on graded repertoire lists with different pieces, that will be really helpful. In the meantime check out this list: violinlounge.com/article/5-most-beautiful-intermediate-violin-concertinos-free-sheet-music/ In (very) short: Usually a concerto is more a violin solo with traditionally an orchestra accompaniment, and a concertino is that for students usually accompanied by a piano. A sonata is the violin and piano playing together more equally (also solos for the piano) and the classical sonata has a specific form. A caprice can be seen as an advanced etude and is usually unaccompanied.
