    Very cool pattern. It's a lot like a Hare's Ear and a Barr's Tung Teaser which are 2 of my favorite flies. You can bet I will be tying some of these. Thanks for sharing!

    This has been slaying for me on sp,e Class 1 Wild Trout streams here in the northeast. Native Browns and Brookies have been taking a liking to this pattern all week. Thanks for sharing

    It picks out great. On patterns that I want a buggy appearance, I'll use a dubbing loop and velcro. Check out out the Ninja Pupa pattern

    Are Allen hooks strong enough for Steelhead? I have always been partial to Daiichi 1760's?

    Hey bud, if it's only a say 1-3 lb fish (salmon, pike walleye, etc) any hook will be strong enough. If you phrase your Q to "Are Allen hooks or any make hooks strong enough for 30 lb Steelhead?" the results should definitely be more interesting than absolutely. 1

    Excellent nymph but I bet the finished nymph body it spins on your hook shank. Why don't you wrap and glue your lead weight would stop the twisting ?
