omg I remember that my grandparents had that (or maybe still have)... exactly the same artwork, only that it was in German (since I live here). It makes me a little proud that Germany is known for so many boardgames and that the Spiel des Jahres award is actually internationally recognized. Thanks for the review.^^

I always enjoy your reviews, but this one really excels! I don't know... maybe it's because I really love this game, but you really nailed it here mate.

I prefer Cartagena, which is similar in regards to gaining and losing cards to advance, but without all the math to it. Still requires strategy and tactics, but not a bunch of number crunching. Would post link to the game here, but KZread blocks it. So, I would say to search Boardgame Geek. I prefer the variant where you draft cards face up.

Hey Tom, you might want to brush up your pronunciation of German words, "Ravensburger" doesn't have anything to do with burgers :P
