Make sure to not wipe the dirt off the zerk insuring you pump some sand and grit into the joint as well

No. Those joints don't have a seal that is damaged by overgreasing.

Only on a sealed bearing. That kind of joint only has a cap and not a true seal. The grease is part of what keeps out the dirt and moisture, so grease away!

I really hate these videos if your a real mechanic you'll know that the needle point goes where that small bearing is and it works fine but the needle point is used to get zerks that the normal tool can't get to
