Ben and Tracy are NOT underrated, they are rated very highly by people who know what music is

Just stumbled across this. Can't believe it's 30 years since I saw Ben and Tracey for the first time. Fell in love with her voice as soon as I heard it, but always aware of the sheer talent that Ben possessed. Hugely underrated and a great couple. It's strange how I always return to EBTG when things turn rough

This guy is one of the most underrated talents in uk music even if you only go on the EBTG back catalogue. But what he has done since, against the odds, is remarkable in its consistency.

I read 'Patient' as soon as it was released in the US. The fact that Ben is still alive today, given what he went through, is a testimony to sheer will and desire to live - for himself, for Tracey, for his music. Ben comes across as very centered, very thoughtful. I could tell from reading his book that he was extremely intelligent apart from his musical genius. Watching this interview underscores my impression of him. He and Tracey are formidable together for a reason.

Not being hugely well versed on his and tracys work nor knowing alot about them I always suspected he suffered an illness of some sort, he always looked quite fragile and sickly. Its great he survived and that these two beautiful souls exist.

Completely agree Delvizual. Unfortunately that group of people is no where near as wide as it should be. I still come across friends who are not aware of the strength and depth of his talent; when they find out they are blown away.

His book documenting much of this illness is an intriguing read.

Ben and Tracy are wonderful talents. Unfortunately they are so underrated! Maybe because they are great people.

So here is my take: And I go back to bying my first ebtg cd in late 80's? Early 90's? Tracey always loved and longed to be loved by Ben more than he was in love with her. But God worked on Ben because....Tracey has the voice of an angel. That much talent. Ben knows this and always seemed a slight put off at that huge voice of Tracey's and it was as if she felt bad for Ben that she was The Voice. But in the same sense, it was Ben that gave her her voice....He could never see that. It makes me sick to see Ben here calling her his partner and not his wife. Is she not the mother of their children? This is odd?

You made this video so it wasnt all that bad. Nope. He knew he wasnt going to die deep down. But eventually he will die some day SO get right with your first father! Patty Duke died from sepsis. I think she was relieved to go to a better place after reading about her life

Ben had vasculitis. 75% of his digestive system was rotting. Towards the end of his illness had blood poisoning.

They weren't married at that point. Were together decades before eventually tying the knot.
