These questions are like baby steps It's not a good thing, because of lack of good colleges and way too many students, the only way to sort them is to. Make the exam incredibly difficult Even an 60-70 percentiler on JEE could get an awesome top. Ranking score on SAT

Multiply the left side by x/x to make x^10/xy=5,555. Then substitute x^10 with 5 to make 5/xy=5555. Dividing both sides by 5 makes 1/xy=1111.

@@adisama4526 that’s the funny part, you have less than 35 seconds to solve it, still very very very easy, but you have 4 hours of test, that’s why is hard, not because of the difficulty of the questions but for the fact that after that time and the pressure makes you exhausted and under that is not that easy.

You could take the five out of 5555 to make 5(1111) then substitute the five with x^10 to get x^9/y=x^10(1111) then divide both sides by x^10 and simplify to get 1/xy=1111

@@Sohailhgfggggh6 I yeah there are some VERY easy problems on the sat. I have encountered “3x=27 what is 2x” also. By convoluted thinking I mean that in some problems, the SAT will word the question very strangely, or ask for a solution which takes three extra steps to find hoping you will forget and put down another answer. Again, the SAT is not a measure of intelligence. It’s a test to prove you paid attention in school, and you can retain the things that you learned.

The question itself isnt very hard but imagine being on a time limit of a little over 60 seconds per question with your entire future dependant on whether or not you get it exactly right within said time frame…

Okay yeah I did it but a bit differently So divide x^9/y by x^10. This gives you x^9/yx^10 which can be cancelled down to 1/xy. Then since we divided those we can also divide 5555 by 5 which gives us 1111 This probably seems quite confusing as you’re reading it like this, but if you wrote it out it’d make a lot of sense

for better understanding, you can read it as 5/x ÷y. reciprocation that would get you 5/x times 1/y. therefore 5/xy.

Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplication with the reverse. a/(b/c) equals a*(c/b) equals ac/b. It's easy to show why, but once you know it it's just a quick trick. Also if you write it as (a/b)/c it's just the same as (a/b)*(1/c) = a*1/(bc) = a/(bc)

@@Prayunj ok so I did tried previous year question papers of SAT it wasn't even jee mains level it wasn't hard at all, and just so you know i was AIR 500 in jee adv and an IIT Madras student. And I don't think there are many colleges which have better resources and facilities than IITM And let's say if I did got full scholarship even then the living expenses will be much more per year than my whole expense of 4 years including fee MIT may have better resources, budget and infrastructure but IIT produce the best engeneers in the world

That's why I said that if you don't like iits than you could attend MIT, Even If you don't have money for it. And coming to the cost of living part, their are ivy league Colleges which meets 100% percent need of a student. So your tution fees and living expenses, including rent, eating, stationary, travel everything will be covered. My friend is himself a engineering student and is currently in University of Chicago, where he got scholarships of around $400k.

I don't think it's right to make fun of these test because even though it is pretty easy the wording is a bit tricky. It is easy for us because we are forced to study something we won't use unless you are interested in learning more about this world. SATs are just basic knowledge tests of how much you remember from your school days.

Multiply and divide right side equation by x. Substitute for x^10 in the N. It’s a lot quicker visually.

Enter both equations into desmos and find the intersection. due to the nature of the question you will have to predict x and y and then 1/xy and you will get a number close to 1111.

reciprocal the first equation and multiply with the second equation 🔥 boom there is the answer🔥🤟

SAT is just a college readiness exam. its purpose is completely different than the JEE. i do not know why people think SAT is the JEE equivalent for the US. it is not. it is SUPPOSED to be easy. it is just testing basic mathmatics knowledge. there are other exams similar(if not harder) than the JEE/jee advanced in the US.

I get it easily by choosing e. Since I have no idea, answering that I’m confused would be accurate and therefore, I’d get the question right. It’s like that old experiment: you give someone an impossible riddle, asking if they can solve it. Most people will try to think of a clever solution, but the actual answer is “no, I can’t.”

6th or 7th.. though that would depend on the state for me it was 6th grade if you were in advanced classes 7th or 8th for normal depending. Revisit sophomore of high-school most likely and depending again you'd either be in pre cal or cal by your senior year or not have any math if you're ahead and don't want extra credits or college credits early.

This is like a first easy question of exponential chapter we do at level 9/10. Nahhh, didn't expect that to be that easy

I've seen the JEE advanced. As an American I've had the pleasure of looking at 3 questions. One question I looked at a while ago, but it took a lot of working out in my head. It had something to do with equally spaced dots iirc. Another one was a trig problem. It was pretty easy, i just used an equilateral triangle to solve the equation. Another one was one I could not solve even after spending an hour on it. It was like Limit as n approaches infinity (n^n)(x+n)(x/2+n/2)(x/3+n/3)..(x/n+n/n) divided by n!(x^2+n^2)(x^2/4+n^2/4)..(x^2/n^2+n^2/n^2) all raised to the power of x/n Which is true? then the choices were a. f'(3)/f(3)>f'(2)/f(2) b. f'(3)/f(3)

I divided X to the ninth over y by x to the 10th, and then on the other side of the equation I divided 5555 by 5.

As an asian and jee aspirant i can say that this question only take like 5 seconds to go through my head to solve if 95 percent people get it wrong i think asian math is not for beginners

Bro sit tf down, I'm asian too, just got in 10th and solved this with ease💀 We ain't special, this dude is just putting "HaRdEsT qUeStIon " for views. Actual SAT is wayy more lengthy and tricky (not EXACTLY hard) to test their cleverness,time management and problem solving.🙄

Simply, multiply numerator by x and multiply denominator by x to balance eq. Then put value of x*10 and there you go

A very below average math student here from india, if this the test you're taking to determine the future of your country, you're not testing them well enough

just divide equation 2 by equation 1. it’s that hard

The Other Way Would Be Multiplying Both Sides By X, That's x*x^9/y=5555*x x^10/y=5555x 5/y=5555x Then Divide Both Sides By 5x 1/xy=1111😊

if you substitute x^9 for 5/x, you can't just slide the y into the denominator, can you? it would be 5y/x because that is equal to 5/x/y

I paused on that 'cause he doesn't explain how you go from 5/x/y to 5/xy. Here is what I was thinking: if you write (5/x)÷(y/1). You have a double division, which you don't want. If I'm not mistaken, you can transform it into a multiplication, which gives you (5/x)*(1/y) --> (5*1)/(x*y) --> 5/xy. I might be wrong as it's been years I haven't done that kind of maths and I have to admit, I'm kinda rusty 😅

What you need to solve sat:- 7th *pass* Common sense What you need to *qualify* through JEE-Advanced:- All important concepts of physics and maths byheart. Enough mental stability to solve the questions which would normally take about half an hour to solve on a casual day in like 2 minutes. Godly ass memory to not forget any point. Enough mental capability to use like 2 concepts from all 3 subjects in about every question. Fast maths. I mean literal flash speed. Common sense not very common nowadays.

My Brain: Well theres a 5, 4 5s, and a 1. So 5555 divided by 5 is 1111 right, and there is a 1 which might be a clue as well... Me: *You're goddamn right.*

Not to dawg on the American students but in India, the students can solve this orally 💀
