The thing is, 19 trials before the actually though ones exist to make you feel horrific for failing a jump on the last screens because you need to retry a billion screens again.

I was testing the level, and for more than approximately 1 hour, I gave up, I stayed at level 18, I couldn't take it anymore, I got desperate, but, the level is very good Congratulations

I did it in practice mode with checkpoints (actual practice mode not the level's practice mode, which I used for the final 2 levels) and it took me 51 minutes and 860 attempts

This was the hardest rated platformer level until free solo was rated imo, took me far longer than other extremes including the abyss and terminal heaven

in the first little dash orb second go down there should be a coin on an orb

this is one of the hardest ploatfromer extremes AND it looks good

This actually looks pretty fun! Definitely going to try it out!

Are you not allowed to verify a platformer with checkpoints or something, or was it just a point of personal pride to verify it without any deaths?

GD community is so obsessed about making difficult levels than fun levels (demon list is a mistake)

This would make a good and more balanced level if it consisted only on the first 20 level and every one had a checkpoint, seems fun and kinda difficult. But instead its pretty unfair and the last two rooms don't fit the level, it could have been a good demon

not every plat. level needs checkpoints. the classic game type dosen't have any normal mode checkpoints at all and somehow i didn't see anyone complain but if a platformer has limited or no checkpoints then everyone acts like its one of the worst levels of all time. that does not any make sense

this level is terrible, its free literally 95% of the way through then actually becomes a hard level, no checkpoints makes this frustrating if anything not hard despite being a timewaster it isnt the hardest platformer extreme either, id say it could be the easiest if anything

People keep saying that the lack of checkpoints doesn't increase the difficulty, which is just wrong. Removing checkpoints forces the player to be more consistent. Just imagine how much easier slaughterhouse would be if there was a checkpoint before each game mode switch. Beating the whole level in one run is obviously what makes the level challenging, that is the same thing here.

@@kennyduncan7 slaughterhouse is a classic level and relies on fundamentally different gameplay design the reason this is a bad level is because the first 90% of the level is the easiest thing ever, that gets ridiculously boring by the 50th time you get there. its not difficult, its frustrating and bad game design, it isnt fun doing the same room 900 times because you died to the only hard part in the level 4 minutes in

@@AzyMyt I'm not claiming that this level has good gameplay, I agree that the gameplay is incredibly unbalanced, but the gameplay is not bad because of the lack of checkpoints. A classic GD level with 7* gameplay for 5 minutes followed by an insane demon ship part would be equally frustrating to play. Basically what I'm trying to say is that the balancing is the problem, not the lack of checkpoints.
