There was a point in my life where typical obscenely minty toothpaste gave me a mild to moder8 stomach ache every time I brushed my teeth and broke my habit. Then I found toothpaste that: - Wasn't minty - Didn't give me stomach ache - Tasted gr8 - Was delightfully abrasive due to containing baking soda - Due to said baking soda, was both better at cleaning than typical toothpaste and naturally whitening (without the noxious chemicals and flavors of typical "whitening" toothpaste) Unfortun8ly I ran out recently, which isn't very cash money. But, the backup stuff I had sitting around in the pantry is acceptable, so it's not so bad.

The game is supposed to be relaxing. It's not meant to be challenging. The concept lends itself to a puzzle game of some sort but it's not meant to get you thinking hard or anything. But I can agree the novelty wears of somewhat quick, and maybe there's more that could have been done with it.

Maybe make it so people who eligible for the cash have to stream it, and if they win they contact you in some way and you have to verify that they didn't cheat? Would give a ton of entertainment for the people watching and would prevent hackers

@@dart2527 I think what they meant is that, with the hacked Switches, they can see the whole level first, and have a bit of an unfair advantage over the rest who are playing it blind for the first time. The hacked switch owners would spend less time play-testing the level since they can just see every object placement and figure out the right path before playing it, while legit players would have to explore the level and practice for much longer. But I think recording the winning run would still come down to the player's execution skills.

@@EnricosUtLP If hacks made stuff like this impossible, the speedrunning community wouldn't be a thing and/or speedrunning hackers wouldn't get punished. It'd just be a "eh, it happens, it sucks, what can we do about it" Maybe there needs to be semi-strict requirements for uploading your proof? Like, have a few unbiased judges ready to look over hours of unedited gameplay footage with facecam and controller inputs on screen to say "Is this person acting? Is this a blind playthrough?" to get around that stuff I mean, this is $1000 we're talking here.

The obscure bullshit I was coming up with could become hacked relayed information and immediately dumped into a discord dedicated to going after the 1k. It's never going to be a viable fair thing when there's that much money involved.

SimpleFlips you could just lie about the reward. People would be far less likely to use a hacked switch for a $25 Eshop gift card. Though I understand that there is also less incentive for the people to clear the levels as fast as possible with a lowered reward.

Probably not. Was/is small hobby and not interested in the content sphere of that world.

I don't think this video would be half as good as it is without the reveal that the dark Ghost House level utterly Jebaited everyone at the end by actually having the sense to give the player controllable light.

That wall jump level was essentially a slightly harder white palace or path of pain from hollow knight, the whole loosing progress right at the end is *super* frustrating I have felt your pain before lol

The problem I have with uncleared expert levels is KZreadrs keep playing levels that are like only a few days to a few weeks old. Those levels always tend to get cleared immediately by the general public. There are still levels that haven't been cleared for a few months to almost a year now if you scroll through the list. I think we should be focusing more on those.

It's kinda refreshing to see a level that's uncleared because it's really fucking hard and not because it's bullshit.

Ya know, the reason people would send you hard levels isn't to see you suffer are because they think you are the hard level man. It's because when you make a hard level, it's very likely that very few people may play it and it might never even get cleared, which really hurts to see when you spend like two weeks making, tweaking, and trying to clear it.
