Hardest Install Ever: NEW Clutch and QA1 Tubular K Member (While Laying on Garage Floor)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This was all filmed in March of 2019
This install was the hardest thing I've done on the Saleen yet! Learned a LOT and very thankful for the experience even though it wasn't all perfect. This was my FIRST time ever doing any of these types of jobs so I had to learn everything along the way. I know i'm not as talented as internet mechanics sorry.
Also, super late video but in times like these I had extra free time to finally put this video together. I was reluctant to make this video because this job was not super fun for me because sadly I had to do almost all the work and research on my own. Anyway thanks so much for watching and please give it a thumbs up!

Letting the engine tilt backwards a bit is actually what you want to do in order to assist with getting the transmission out. Overall nice job! Definitely a b word. 😂
Where did u get those black fins on the front bumper? Pretty sweet looking 👍
Dude I feel your pain good job though
Looks good.. im hoping to tackle the tubular k soon.
Respect for doing this and still having the patience to record it
I've been wanting to do tubular K member and long tubes. I've read that people noticed more NVH when they switched to a tubular k member. Maybe that's what you're noticing?? Also, the engine shifted and I believe you bolted it down to the k member like that witch is why it looks off and also maybe the k member needs to be aligned as well. Good job. I watched the whole video and felt your pain working on cars.
Good informative video 👍🏾💯🇬🇧
You have a lot of patience. I felt for you throughout the video lol Can you get to all of the header bolts with the new kmember?
Or it could be 5he output shaft O ring
i rebuilt my t5 transmision from my 01 v6 and let me tell you it was a pain in the ass.... anyway though my main point is that if you wanted to take the driveshaft out without taking the bolts out from the yolk all you got to do is beat out the u joint and walla, it saved me a lot of grunting over a dumb bolt
I have had a hard time getting my tubular k member to line up I think there all a little off from factory had to dent headers to
Check your clutch cable adjustment. Get your k-member squared, if you don’t you’ll get abnormal tire wear.
Why do I fel like I am the only one that realized he had trans fluid in end of driveshaft. This indicates needs to replace rear transmission seal....
Make sure your clutch fully disengages when the clutch pedal is fully depressed. If it is still slightly engaged then it would make the shifting harder and clunkier and will tear up your synchros
