As a flyer my self trust in your group can take awhile, in the beginning I kept getting dropped so I didn’t trust them but now we pushed through, learned, switched people, and positions and I love my group. My back spot is always there for me and if I’m falling she is gonna make sure that she’s underneath me and that I don’t get hurt. My base’s are incredible! They always try to push me to do my best and they do an amazing job! My front spot is amazing as well! She always makes sure that I'm doing good, am tight, and always smiling! I love my group!

I wasn’t a base in cheer but I was a back spot and I’ve literally used myself as a human cushion twice, caught a girl by the back of her shirt, have been elbowed in the nose and still caught the girl, etc. I’ve never dropped a girl. My coaches were very strict on it (as they should be). I’ve seen coaches and cheerleaders that just don’t care if a girl is dropped and that’s how my cousin ended up breaking her back. My take on it is a few bruised ribs from me is better then the flyer falling from a height that could do lasting damage for the rest of their lives.

@@GoofyGoober213 I never said that particular girl was an no longer a flyer. I simply said flyers and former flyers, like say they get too big after middle school due to growth spurts, often make excellent spotters. That's accurate and TRUE and was clear before you ever replied. I can't see how a cheerleader with minimal experience would argue with that common sense. 🤷 My comments are more general, pig picture and historical than yours. We are basically having two different conversations and you do t seem aware, because you, for whatever reason, wouldn't step back and read what was actually written and follow the thread of the conversations that already existed. Maybe you were in a hurry? Who knows? Don't know you. Immaterial. You seem to want to argue but it's unnecessary. Many of these comments and conversations are more general than this set of particular human beings doing this one stunt because we don't know them personally and bc it's not relevant and that's simply how KZread and train of thought works. KZread is not a myopic medium. Be well, read more carefully and know that not everyone, me included, is looking to squabble or troll online with anyone over trivial things. I for one am pretty somber and not sure why you picked up all my comments in various sections and replied to them as if I wasn't somber, good natured or didn't get the answers I was looking for or say clearly what I wanted to and meant... Especially when I asked the OG guy about his daughter and he replied already. It's odd bc most cheerleaders and coaches that I know are pretty jovial. Seems I inadvertently brushed up against a huge chip on you BUT I know I didn't put it there so ya know... Again Be well 🙏🕊️😊 and can't hurt to stop assigning bad tones not really there, bc animosity speaks louder about your head space and than theirs or in this case mine...

Thinking nobody's going to bother them cuz they haven't yet well that's how all the people kids got killed in the Texas because they didn't they said oh nothing's going to happen to the kids cuz there's teachers that are protecting them no you're so stupid to not even check up to see how they're being treated and at home if something if there's extra quiet and they're extra something's wrong you better and you feel it and you sense it you better have the teacher go check up on the kids and the principal with the teacher and to see what's wrong after school hours and then if they're drinking beer or doing cigarettes and and drugs and you see a gun out then you better report that to the resource officer and he better hurry up and do something about it and put some precautions up because in my school they had to have ID cards to get people in and out of school that if you didn't have your ID and show it then you're not allowed on school property but they waited till somebody actually came on the property and I kept telling people that there's somebody falling us on the school bus that doesn't belong on the school grounds and they said no those are people that go to our school and I said no it's not cuz the bus driver takes head count instead of looking at people like I recognize that person they go to this school.

So i started cheer in my 7th grade year for the first time. I’m short and skinny and am usually a fast learner. Since I’m a flyer, I have to learn a bunch of new stuff, and I’m not very good. I’m also an extra, because we have just 3 stunt groups, and exactly enough people plus me. And one if the girls keeps on rolling her eyes when I mess up counts, or fall, or lean forward. She’s been cheering since she was like five.
